A number of psychological disorders could underlie her beliefs. It doesn't even have to be as severe as a psychotic disorder. I worked with many patients with Borderline Personality Disorder over the years. Many of them were legitimately sexually assaulted as children or or teens, but they continue to report that other people have raped them as adults when there is no evidence of their claims.
I can think of at least 10 cases just off the top of my head since I started working at the psychiatric hospital I currently work at where patients with BPD reported having been raped by other patients or staff when there was actually proof that it could not have happened. These individuals often try to relive the trauma's that they experienced, not because it brings them pleasure, but because it has become part of their broken identity. They will build someone up (a therapist or physician) to be the greatest one day and the next they will say the most repulsive things possible to the same person and vilify them.
They are extremely susceptible to persuasion and influence of others, especially when they receive special attention from them. It is very easy to mold their distorted perceptions into near delusions. Many in field would argue that so-called cases of dissociative identify disorder (what used to be call multiple personality disorder) are actually patients with Borderline Personality Disorder who came to believe that they had these personalities through the course of irresponsible and ill conceived psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
They do not respond well to traditional forms of treatment and actually get worse when kept in hospitals for longer than a few days. They are a nightmare for independent practitioners.

Why do you assume she is lying?
Im a man of logic, so there's several reasons:
First, the timing and lack of detail in her allegation is highly suspicious.
Second, she is known a leftist sympathizer who is active in the political sphere.
Third, This particular SC seat could devastate the left for a generation.
Fourth, her account is diametrically opposed to everything we know about Brett Kavanaugh.
Fifth, her story is refuted by ALL of her own witnesses.
Sixth, she has surrounded herself with democrat smear operatives like Michael Avenatti.
Seventh, she has changed her account of the night's events several times.
Eighth, She has received almost zero support from her former school mates.
Ninth, Her parents and siblings are NOT supporting her.
Lastly, She disclosed that she is mentally ill. A huge red flag.

You'd have to be a moron of epic proportions to not realize this is a democratic plot.
Fake protests? I believe that there is that much false and fashionable outrage. Those people are crazy.
Opening statements are of course rehearsed? Of course Kavanaugh looks better and is able to go off script because he has been debating forever.
Her claims and holes in her story? Yep all sound muddled. I agree. She’d never get a conviction in a criminal case.

I think she wanted to be part of that group and wasn't. I obviously don't know her but she sounded really stupid (and she has a PhD -- didn't know what "exculpate" meant. Really?). I think she read Judge's book and put herself in a story that jibed with what he wrote to give herself some relevance. Just a theory of course

In her own witnesses' statements she began informing people for the first time that Kavanaugh was her attacker. THE DAY AFTER Kennedy announced his retirement. That is all you need to know
Posted on 9/28/18 at 9:43 am to Stidham8
She read Judges book and turned it into her psychological fantasy to explain her lifetime of psychological instability. She is NOT well, and the Dems have delved into her background enough to know this..

She was assaulted
Doesn’t know who did it
Knows Kavanaugh from high school
Figured it could’ve been him and she can get some money and fame out of it

I'm sorry! I had to deal with quite a few people whom I believed were suffering from BPD (I'm not in the mental health field but have dealt with many mental health professionals over the years) and they were the absolute worst. God help their families!!

Her Dad was CIA. She is in charge of the CIA recruiting program at Stanford. This woman is a spook and has been trained to be one from birth.
Passing a 2 question poly was cake for her.

I think she created it.
That’s why there’s continual inconsistencies.
I think her statement was crafted by Seidman.
I’m sure they didn’t want her talking about “Indelible in my hippocampus” and “neurotransmitters.”
But she’s a smart gal. And she may have some experience in accusing people of sexual harassment.

My question is if they actively recruited her, or if she approached them with a story to sell.
I’d guess it was a little of both. She probably mentioned to some people that she ran in the same social circles as Kav and Gorsuch growing up. And that if they “needed any dirt on them,” she could provide it.
She probably has some delusional beliefs that she’s much more important in life than she is. And this produced the stage for her to prove it.

I think it’s more likely she experienced something, but still hasn’t put It all together. It def wasn’t Kav.
This I can agree with. Something may have happened to her, but it wasn't Kav.
It was clear after DiFi threw her under a bus that she was used for a lot of this without her knowing. I'm sure yesterday, if she was smart and not biased, there were several "ah ha" moments for her in terms of what DiFi and the Dems did behind her back.
However, like Milano, she's a useful idiot that is more than happy to "take one for the team" if it means getting at a political enemy.

I doubt any of those 4 prestigious schools will put her up as an advertisement for the caliber of what they produce.
She was a massive failure as a witness. While I don't think Rachel Mitchell did a fabulous job; she did force Blasey Ford to recant much of the "facts". The woman has some serious delusions.

But a Democrat plot? No. You’d have to find an unworking Oscar caliber actress. To pull all of that off. That was the personification of a near panic attack prior to her testimony. Not to mention she is a real person with a home and a job. She’s not some mystery person you can’t find.

Her dry eyes were an issue. I do not disagree. She was treated with kid gloves though. Every effort made to make it comfortable and painless.
Like I’ve said nobody can press her on her amount of alcohol. Was there a bathroom downstairs? Why can’t she recall getting home after getting out?
