Let's add a little flair here

Greg Abbott survived a Bombing Attempt. All because he opens packages weird.

My criticism of Abbott is he moves with all the speed of a glacier. He should have begun mobilizing the National Guard, Texas Rangers, and State Police the day after the 2020 Election. Stevie Wonder could see what was coming.

Im hearing that Abbott has RISEN from his wheelchair to announce all immigrants & homeless will be shipped to AFRICA via fighter jet . Emergency broadcast of a Creed concert will play on all the TV sets while the operation takes place.

I think you mean sometime back in 2015 after he was elected. This shits been going on for a lot longer than people realize. It’s just finally gotten bad enough for people to give a shite now.

You're correct. Probably back to the 80's if not longer.

Bill Clinton promised to fix it when he was running.

Any way you spin it Abbott comes across as anti immigrant, xenophobic and the dreaded "R" word. And you're looking at a level of civil disobedience out of the Gov's Mansion not witnessed since the Civil War.
The White House is giving Texas til tomorrow to open up Shelby Park in Eagle Pass to the feds, and allow disassembly of the dreaded "razor wire" along the border. I have a gut feeling the governor will acquiesce. If not all h*ll will break loose.
We...have a problem here in Texas... that just.won't.QUEEE-uht!

Abbott isn't any of that.
Unpopular take on here, I'm sure -
I don't like dehumanizing migrants. While I disagree with fellow evangelicals who somehow contort Christianity into open borders, I do think Christians should be loathe to speak of migrants as leeches/pollutants/etc. Some won't care, some will. But I don't think Abbott is in that category. His beef is as much with Biden and a tyrannical administration as the migrants.
I'm probably one of the biggest cheerleaders for federal-state conflict on this board. Candidly, I'm more concerned about a federal government that encourages lawbreaking and lawlessness knowing it is particularly detrimental to the current regime's political enemies than I am the migrants themselves. I don't question the impact on resources or potential damage from unfettered immigration, but I'm raging about a system/regime that no longer serves the citizenry, and immigration is really just a flashpoint for that.

Sorry mate, I have to say you are wrong, and I regret to inform you I had to apply a downvote on your post. They don't respect our laws, values or traditions and are an existential threat to our Republic. Many of them are able bodied men who face no hardship as well.

I disagree. They're a drop in the bucket compared to the natives. I think unfettered immigration is a threat to the nation, but not necessarily because Mexicans and Central Americans are incompatible with our way of life. Quite the contrary. Lawlessness itself is the incompatible part.
They're essentially being invited into the country by the country's ruling class. I think it's a bit silly to say that they should take the high road and decline the opportunity on the basis of some noble concepts of having not earned it or it being technically illegal, though obviously I wish they would.

Hold up.
Not all of us think every person to ever cross the border is a piece of shite.
These countries emptied out prisons.
100k overdose deaths
Homeless at the highest levels ever.
We are in no shape to take any fricking migrant in. At all.
And to top it all off. They were doing this during a fricking global pandemic!!
Context man. This is a serious serious problem and yes, some of them will be leeches and are currently.

They are not immigrants. They are invaders and criminals. They partner with the cartels, which are terrorist organizations, and in a coordinated fashion they invade our nation. This is a hostile encroachment on our sovereign territory. No one cares about your ad hom attacks and your labels.
