My liberal mother in law got a big red pill last night

Up until a couple days ago she thought Kyle chased down two black teenagers and killed them with a machine gun.
She finally watched the video and was shocked. She asked how the media could lie like that.
I told her it’s a combination of ratings and the fact that elitists want us divided to usher in communism. Then the kicker. She asked if the media would lie about this would they lie about COVID?
Note: she’s a bleeding heart liberal not a progressive. Excited to vote for Hillary. Not thrilled with her Biden vote. But people are waking up.

As soon as the reality hit her you should have slapped the shite out her and as she gaped in utter shock at what you’d done, you should have said “if they lied about this, and you believed it so strongly, just think of what else they may have lied about! Question your every belief now, because you’ve been lied to and are fricking WRONG on so many things.”
You have to do this with liberals because even faced with a new reality on one thing, they can’t make the leap on cognitive reasoning that the lies may apply to their opinions they’ve formed.

More like Denham Springs trash that grew up poor and moved to Baton Rouge when she was 18 and ended up marrying someone with a future.
She still has a bleeding heart for welfare type liberalism. She’s not on the progressive bandwagon but votes democrats because they help the poor.
But she gets 80 percent of her news from cnn, 10 percent from the view and the rest from social media.

She’s naive. She believes if the media lies they can lose their license. Her words.
It’s been slow deprogramming. She went from crying when Hillary got beat to “I’m not even going to vote” in four years. She went full panic mode with COVID and we lost some momentum but this was a move toward the right side.

My FIL was a staunch union Democrat. FIL and MIL both voted straight line Democrat party no matter who the candidate was.
They voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and changed their party affiliation before the 2020 election.
I never thought I would see that in my life. They have a long way to go but at least they don't fall for the Democrat bullshite anymore.
