The highest honor anyone can have is not Congessman, Senator, Ambassador, Justice or President.
It is citizen.
The fact that MLK - a citizen - was able to do so much speaks to the greatness of our nation.
It is, if anything, the best cover a book like this could have.

Just to be clear.. by "we" you mean white people right?
No, you brainless idiot. All of us, black and white. I am a minority..so you are barking up the wrong tree. This is a GOVERNMENT Textbook, not an AMERICAN HISTORY textbook...and even at that, there are much more important American history influencers to put on a cover. He was important in the change he brought, but this feels very "agendaish" to me.

I'm sure the picture of MLK was done as a left-leaning statement, but it's not like MLK had nothing to do with American Government.

Why did they make his lips so pronounced?
He's a good picture/representation for a government textbook.
At least they didn't use Malcomb X or Obama and the title isn't Hope and Change. There's that.
I think they used him so that they could put Bill Clinton on a textbook in the future. Clearing the path for Wild Bill.

Sorry, but I wish MLK was around today and influencing in positive ways the black community. It's a lack of people of his substance to be the voice of a people that's our problem now. The only one's around now are rabble rousers to huck a buck.

it would appear the 15th edition is trigger free

That phallic image to the right is also clearly pushing the homosexuality agenda.

Simple solution.
Print this thread out into 2 pages, use them as a book cover. Now we are all part of American history and your voice was heard.

Your kid is going to marry a minority. Its gonna be sweet.

what agenda is that cover pushing, exactly?
Liberal Left...The only important people in history are those that fought for the left's agenda and anyone, or anything else, is evil. Hey, here's a fricking great idea. let's put the constitution on the cover.....that is something that actually has been intertwined in the entire history of of OUR government....except for today when it seems to mean nothing because of the same idiots that put MLK on this cover.

Makes sense. He just said he is a minority.

I wish he would have lived longer. The people he surrounded himself with became pure morons who have truly harmed the black community and race relations.

She is already dating one. You just showed your judgementalism and ignorance. You are a very shallow person...stop trying to paint me as one.

its the 14th edition, if you google the book, you can see it has had plenty of different covers
MLK helped shape our modern government, why that triggers you so much, I have no idea
