Chinese and Hong Kong markets took a big jump on the news. Its obvious the pending 200 billion in tariffs, and possible additional 267 billion are weighing very heavily on the minds of their financial community.

Ive said many times, they can end this tomorrow, they are a communist country, a centralized govt, they dont have a three party system to worry about. Their stubbornness is Xis stubbornness.

It would be because of cucks like yourself not willing to make small sacrifices and put country first, yet willing to take a 10inch daily strap-on

NATO didn’t think so.
EU didn’t think so.
Mexico didn’t think so.
Canada and Kim the Fat rethinking their opposition.

I would say that history calls BS on your melt.

I suspect Munchin is feeling a pretty good bit of pressure too as it should be apparent now after the last round of hearings and after the small and medium sized business have started organizing that a significant piece of the Trump base is pissed over these tariffs.

May with the pressure on Trump and the pressure on the Chinese this thing will resolve itself.

I have not seen any response from China to Munchin's letter. I wonder if China is so worried why they didn't ask for new talks first???

This would be my guess. The chinese will have a much higher tolerance for pain, since they are not democratic and so citizens can't go to the polls to express their displeasure.

Of course, maybe we figure out a way to make it hurt more for them than us and they cave. I am not sure the current approach is that though.

Here is a Chinese perspective.

Beijing Welcomes Surprise US Offer to Resume High-Level Talks

(It is really pathetic how poorly the US press covers international happenings. The South China Morning Post was a part of the Murdoch empire at one time. It may still be. Click on the home page of the paper if you follow the link and read about that massive typhoon bearing down on Hong Kong. I have not seen a single report of it in the US media. It will be interesting to see the differences in the recovery of Hong Kong and the Carolinas. Hong Kong has so many more people.)
