A defining moment of today’s televised hearings came when former Special Counsel Robert Mueller claimed that he was “not familiar” with the controversial Fusion GPS firm.

The Dems don’t care about Fusion GPS or the fact that Mueller should know about them. The MSM won’t even talk about.

No minds were changed today and the Dems are going to keep pushing forward until Trump is out of office now or in 5-6 years.

Which is either perjury or an admission that he was an incompetent figurehead. There really is no 3rd option.

I feel as if the facts will show it is the first option.

Agreed. I have been to DC once and listen to Rush a few minutes a day driving to lunch. I know about Fusion GPS.

Either that guy is full of BS or should have been put in a retirement home a long time ago.

Chances there are prior statements, emails or memos by him that contradict this testimony?

His report references Fusion GPS but not by name. I am not claiming that he wrote or even read his own report though

They're not going to do anything to Mueller, he's tiptoeing through the tulips towards an old folks home.

So he can throw old people in jail... but he's above that?

You could tell he was coached to not go anywhere near the real meat of this whole fiasco.

At that point, I was honestly worried about this country. Even though I do not agree with some in the multiple layers of government, I at least would like to know that they possess a basic level of competence.

Mueller was lost, and unfortunately is a man who was chosen in this role for his reputation as much as his declining cognitive ability.

But perhaps more worrisome, it was a confirmation that Mueller was simply a figurehead. Whoever is pulling the strings did not want him testifying today, hence the statement made by Mueller (also not written by him) weeks ago.

This is rock bottom for whatever group of people trying to hold onto power in this country. They need to be hunted down and made an example of. I'm confident that is happening.

That’s called the deep state, the swamp, the bureaucracy.

Yeah that's just absurd because the farthest left liberal in the farthest right conservative who's paid attention at all in the last couple of years knows who the f*** fusion GPS is.

GOAT Gaetz: No, it is exactly your purview, Director Mueller, and here’s why. Only one of two things is possible, right? Either Steele made this whole thing up and there were never any Russians telling him of this vast criminal conspiracy that you didn’t find, or Russians lied to Steele. Now, if Russians were lying to Steele to undermine our confidence in our duly elected president, that would seem to be precisely your purview, because you stated in your opening that the organizing principle was to fully and thoroughly investigate Russia’s interference. But you aren’t interested in whether or not Russians were interfering through Christopher Steele. And if Steele was lying, then you should have charged him with lying like you charged a variety of other people. But you say nothing about this in your report.

THE NARRATIVE IS DEAD

The MSM was stunned at how bad BM looked today. They had trouble spinning any of it. It was a total disaster for them. I'm sure some minds were changed.
The dems looked more like fools than they ever have. Remember, they are the ones who wanted this, and it made ALL of them look terrible.

Obviously a load of bullshite, but it's going to be very hard to prove he intentionally lied. Perjury in general is hard to prove.

First of all, what does he mean by "not familiar?" Does it mean he's never heard the words "Fusion GPS" or does it mean he knows about them but doesn't "know much" about what they do? You can see all the issues with trying to prosecute this. And these lawyers who testify before Congress understand that and choose their words carefully.

How do you investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election without being familiar with Fusion GPS?

The owner was subpoenaed by Congress nearly a year ago over this affair. His associates were meeting with Russians before and after the Trump tower meeting. His Russia expert's husband was investigating Trump. His firm commissioned the document that started all of this. Seriously. Is Mueller retarded?

You are more optimistic than I am. I am confident nothing at all will ever happen to anyone involved in this attempted coup.

And they all still say there was collusion and obstruction. They still don’t mention Fusion GPS or anything related to it.
