We should use a version of the poorhouse model to care for people who can't/won't support themselves. Stop all the handouts.

With that being said, you can’t live off $12/hr today. Instead of blaming others for not taking your shitty job for a wage that’s lower than the cost of living, a restaurant owner should be rolling their sleeves up and doing the work themselves on the front line. Owners aren’t entitled to low wage employees.

It's killing our businesses across the nation. I hate these DEMS doing this to all of us. They truly are making slaves out of people.

I really wish President Trump and Mitch McConnell would’ve stopped this before losing power in 2021.

It’s awful. I’ve never seen such a shortage of products due to labor shortages

I’ve been blessed I have a full crew here on the farm. I’ve actually added 1 employee more than I usually have.

She is 100% correct. We can't keep paying people to stay home. This isn't sustainable, and will eventually come back to bite us when prices everywhere increase.

Do you not understand what's going on?

While the libs run the $15/hr minimum wage fakery giving Republicans and "conservative Democrats" a win they can sell you, Pelosi goes about installing a $20/hr minimum wage by making businesses compete with the government for workers.

I’m against relying on government handouts when you’re capable of working. With that being said, you can’t live off $12/hr today. So you basically stand for nothing. Because those are some peoples only choices.

There are 168 hours in a week. Sleep 50 of those, work 70 of those, and take 48 of those for yourself until you make your mark. 75 x 12 is $900 a week. 36k/mo. 43.2k/yr.

You can work more than 40 hours a week and still have a life.

I know of a few restaurants that are having trouble keeping people because of this. The restaurants can’t pay more and can’t compete with unemployment- it’s a real blow to small business owners.

Precisely. In Louisiana you would have to pay about 13.50 to match unemployment. You also have to go higher to beat rhe elasticity orbiting st home for 13.50

So the high school drop out wiping down the tables should get $100k a year?

Hell...why not? What would that hurt.
