MS State Troopers are, by and large, useless.
One threatened to arrest me when I was with my wife because I told him I was not giving him my driver's license at a random DUI checkpoint.

That seems to be the crux of this. The driver said he'd show his license if the cop both identified himself and explained why he pulled him over.
I don't know what the order of operations is for a police stop.

bullshite, he was non compliant from the start and telling the cop how to do his job and to call his buddy or whatever tf.
The cop was incredibly patient and tried not to use force repeatedly but that dumd frick driver, who admitted he "opened full throttle" multiple times AND kept reaching toward his gun which he acknowledged having should have been tazed and violently pulled from the vehicle and if he reached one more fricking time putting some lead in his fricking forehead would have been completely justified

I'm a fed and can confirm. First thing they say is they can't breathe and then they complain the cuffs are too tight. Keep in mind, this is always after you just had a 20 minute death struggle to get them subdued.

Thats great and all but the rest of us on earth do not get this info prior to speaking to someone and seem to manage just fine.
A simple I ,pulled you over for x now give me your license would have most likely led to a better outcome for all involved.
The elbows to the head were a bit ott and unnecessary as well and on their own more than enough reason to fire him on the spot.

If the guy is a wanted felon then that is the least of the officer’s worries as he is doing a background check.

Do you know how many times cops are shot at by pulled over drivers, its a fricking lot. They need to immediately ascertain who the driver is, which verifies the tag they've already run.
Once they have established identity they explain why you were stopped, ive been pulled over enough to know the drill and you have no special right to ignore lawful orders because you shared a fricking beer with Jamie Adkins!

No it is not, it is actually pretty rare on scale.
In fact policeman is one of the safer jobs in the US although they constantly scream about how dangerous it is, the truth is it falls between landscapers and bus drivers on the charts.
