mr president - where is the pick

i cant see any reason trump shouldnt have announced his pick for SCOTUS at 5am this morning and mitch could have already begun the process to confirm them
we all know at best its going to take weeks to get it done and time is extremely limited as if you let it go to a week or two before election then some rino will stall it saying the election is only 12-15 days away so lets wait

Combination of respect to RGB, temper the flames for making the announcement before her funeral, and he did say he's considering 4-5 people. Chances are his team is trying to figure out everything the Dims would go all Kav on with the pick to see which gives him the shortest hurdle.

why is that? they paraded songbird around the country for 3 weeks before they dropped him in a hole

Under normal circumstances this would be true, but that's not always the case. There are exceptions to the 24 hour rule, they just need to have someone stay with the body at all times.
And, even if she is, I'm sure there will be an over the top memorial, it's the Dim way.

Couldn't he also be pushing for them to just abstain from voting. Could still push her through at 49 - 47, assuming 4 vote Present. And with Pence as the tie breaker could have 2 Present, and 2 "No" and still successfully appoint.

It's going to leak by Thursday and I expect the announcement Friday.
He has a rally schedule Thursday and Saturday. If his Friday remains free I expect him to make it then. Senate would start committee the following Monday.

do you own a calendar? it will take a week to schedule meetings then another week to have the hearing to vote to advance the nomination, then at least another week or two to finalize the date to actually have the vote scheduled when everyone can be there and if all that goes quickly without any delays thats 4-5 weeks from now and less then 20 days before the election
say what you will, but i dont think mitch pushes a vote within 2 weeks of the election no matter how tough he talks
