I would think that the first concern would be how do we prevent these kinds of situations. And how do we bring justice to the situation? And how do we make sure that girls in this situation aren’t coerced into an abortion to hide the rape?
None of this would have likely come to light without the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. So it might give you some pause. Instead of thinking “How often do horrible situations like this happen that necessitate abortion?” Maybe thinking “How often do horrible situations like this happen that abortion allows to be hidden?”

Is there evidence that they tried to get an abortion in Ohio? I havent seen it.
It seems like they went to an abortion clinic that was willing to cover up the rape to keep the rapist out of jail.

It is a reasonable inference that the mother of the pregnant child approached that Ohio physician about the possibility of an abortion, but I suppose there is no conclusive proof at this time in support of that inference. She could have been consulting the Ohio doctor regarding acne or body lice.

The Internet is full of bullshite conjecture, but I agree that that would be awful if it is indeed the case.
Of course, that would mean that Dr. Bernard is also lying about the referral from Ohio. Assuming that social services records in Ohio support Dr. Bernard, it would also mean that they were falsifying records. Just highly unlikely.

It’s not unlikely at all. You think a do gooder liberal physician dealing with presumed illegals wouldn’t happily refer an out of state abortionist if requested? Or maybe the physician was lied to by these shitty liars.

Since May 9, there have been 50 police reports of rape or sexual abuse for girls aged 15 or younger in Columbus, Ohio, alone—though experts say confidentiality laws mean some reports may not be included in that figure. Experts also point out that most sexual assaults go un-reported. The Ohio Department of Health has indicated that there were 52 abortions that took place in children age 15 or younger in 2020, down from the 63 that were recorded in 2019.
