You have the same entitlements to Section 8, SNAP, etc. as Medicare/SS. You just have to end up in that chosen population.

Fix'd it for you. The Magnificent One puts me to sleep faster than a Benadryl/ narcan sandwich.

With Trump, it's just the same canned speeches and silly name-calling ("DeSanctimonious") warmed over. Then the rest of his rallies consist solely of talking bout hisself and how he was cheated out of this or that election. BOR-ing!!!

Not generally, no. But maybe one person will see what I say and have a change of heart.

I'm pretty sure I've badmouthed SlowFlo on this board before, but he's absolutely on the money here. And using facts and logic to refute every one of your posts. So you resort to "if I were younger I would kick your arse". Then try an ad hominem when someone calls you out. Which only confirms that you couldn't, in fact, kick his arse even if you were younger.

You have no idea.

That's the issue... will remain the issue. Your lack of an ability to think outside the box.

It's not a mistake. It's you that fails to understand the what's being said in context of "another way" and Trump's plan.

How do they qualify for SS if they didn't pay in? You want to kick off a lot of Boomer widows?

so you want to use general funding (which also has to be cut) to prop up a failing, unsustainable Entitlement system? Sounds like you're on a sinking boat and throwing water from the front (where the hole it) to the back of the boat (which is filling up, too, just more slowly)

You haven't proposed anything of any substance that will solve the problem, either.

You just proposed Leftist reshuffling of inadequate funding sources

Ok cool, you illegally used discretionary military funding to temporarily plug a hole in the sinking SS ship. Now you've exacerbated our discretionary debt-spending issues by the same amount. Net result: nothing.

No he isn;t at all.

- We are here. We can not pick up in the past and it never have been done. No Time Machines.

- As it stands, we have made promises to people about SS...etc. Why do you feel we can not fix this without moving the age?

- As it stands, we need to end it. So you have to transition people away from it.

There are many solutions, but it requires somebody to think in those terms...

- Honor our promise..

- while bringing it to an end.

This is a strawman.

Also, this is Leftist bullshite. If you make this argument, then it applies to EVERY incidental piece of government spending.

Now nothing can be cut. Ever. Awesome.

Look at the graphs I posted.

There will literally not be enough economy to support these programs.

quote:

Honor our promise..

- while bringing it to an end.

So people who will not ever receive it will continue to fund it? As the funding requires an incredible amount of the GDP they live in, removing their salary, goods, savings, etc. due to less economic opportunity? Sounds fair. Totally reasonable and "outside of the box"

At least you didn't deny that you have vagina juice in your veins.

quote:

You actually know nothing about my situation. I could NEVER get one cent from SS and I'd be fine. I just believe in what is right and wrong.

quote:

How do they qualify for SS if they didn't pay in? You want to kick off a lot of Boomer widows?
The husband paid in. But then, you knew that.

quote:

so you want to use general funding (which also has to be cut) to prop up a failing, unsustainable Entitlement system?
What does it matter where the funds come from? The politicans have been stealing from the SS "lockbox" for years. Use those "general funds" to pay back the IOU's.

In the end I believe that American Citizens need to be taken care of first. I also believe that EVERYONE of us owe a debt of gratitude to those that worked hard to build this once great nation.

I guess rape is ok so long as the rapist allows a bit of foreplay.

That's the point you're making and you don't even realize it

You've been robbed. I've been robbed. Everyone has been robbed. I want the robbery to stop. You want it to keep going because you were robbed longer. That's it. That's your entire stance on SS/Medicare because in the end you got "yours".

Cowardly.
