Hormuz obviously remains a contested choke point with this week showing some of the lowest levels of traffic transiting the strait since the war began.
Now the Houthis are on the move in Yemen near the Bab el Mandeb. Today they seized the port town of Mocha and also landed troops on the Hanish islands in the Red Sea.
As of now Iran and its proxies either control or threaten two of the most heavily transited maritime waterways on the planet.

Who is reporting this? Iranian state media?

So, even on an upward revision, that's about half of pre-war levels, right?

We should surrender Hormuz to Iran and go home then.
They will certainly be gracious and open the straight with no strings attached.

No we should stop pussyfooting around take the fricking strait. Iran has no Navy and we have the most powerful Navy in history yet for some reason we can’t keep the strait open for business from what most of this board considers a group of backwards goat frickers throwing mullets at passing ships.

trump said the iran war would be over after the midterms. looks to me like it will be the houthies and iran who will say when the war will be over. and on their terms. wouldn't surprise me if trump nukes them both because he is not going to beat them in a conventional way.

The American public doesn’t seem to have the stomach for that.
We want the cheap fuel without putting in the really costly work.

Nonsense. Americans love a good war.

It's still not to late to dump these loser viewpoints and get on board the winning side.
