Going with this.

He hasn't worked in almost 30 years... can we guess why?

Not like employers are banging on his doorstep seeking out his skillset.

Man, I've been looking for that.

The only sources I can find are state-owned companies in Venezuela, North Korea, China and Russia.

You’re welcome.

Absolutely, I too think the solution is to bolster our navy that surrenders to Iran, or hits other ships in a wide open fricking ocean. Clearly more vessels, and traffic for them to avoid, would serve us well

We don't need the Cardassians moving into this sector. We need to get some outposts established on some M class planets

We already have a space force, its part of the Air Force. and if a new branch of the military is formed the Officers and Airmen current working in that capacity will shift from being air force one day to Space force the next, other then getting a different patch to put on your uniform nothing else will chance.

Lol...

Oh boy.

Posts like this really put things in perspective for me. There's always less fortunate people out there that operate on a very limited capacity.

Thank you for the reminder.

We could double our military spending and still cut taxes by half or more if we required a constitutional mandate for all federal spending. I don’t love more military spending, but am perfectly fine with spending more than everyone else combined several times over. I think most Americans would be fine spending less on the military, if our milquetoast allies grew a set. I think that’s what getting after those in NATO is about.

I don’t think many republicans or conservatives love tariffs. The problem is there aren’t many of them among our trading partners, who use them to maintain staggering trade deficits with the US, essentially forcing the US taxpayer to subsidize the prosperity and socialism so dearly loved in Europe and China. So, sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Much the same goes for farm subsidies, maybe to a lesser extent.

Hate all immigration? That sounds suspiciously like the ignorant demonization that leftists love to utilize. Very few have much of a problem with immigration... as long as it’s legal. People who commit crimes are criminals, whether those crimes are immigration or otherwise.

So just what are the people who want to weaken our military, open our borders, and allow our so called allies to redistribute the wealth and prosperity of this country to theirs, to the detriment and even demise of our farmers, workers, and manufacturers?

Are you drunk?

If so I'll wait till tomorrow to explain it. I don't want to spend time educating you if you're not going to remember it when you wake up.

I’ll give it a go.

The current space mission isn’t only conducted by the Air Force. The probably only cover about 60% at best. The Navy also has a large responsibility in space as does the Army. There’s a lot of overlap between a lot of people who don’t speak to each other very often. I would imagine the focus of effort is also very diluted. A Space Force is long overdue. It will, hopefully, produce a continuity of effort and focus and free up the other services to focus on their own missions. In the short term, yes, it’s possible that not much changes other than the color of the uniform. But in the long run this will be good for defense and our military’s capabilities and lead to a lot of new technologies that will hopefully benefit the private sector as well.

successful grown ups.

Just wait kid, its amazing, but from the ages of 18-30, your parents will get smarter and smarter.

It is truly an amazing sight to behold. Only about 7-8 more to go until you finally understand, I'd wager.

That's not a very nice way to talk to your new teacher.

I'll boil it down concisely since I still think you're drunk and I'm typing on my phone.

Start tapping on the top of your head.

Easy right?

Now stop tapping, and start rubbing your stomach with the other hand.

Easy again.

Now do both at the same time.

See how you did a much better job when they were separate tasks?

Now multiply that by 10 billion and you see why a separate branch is beneficial.
