Has anyone played indoor tennis with an N95 on?
Question
My biggest concerns are the seal of the mask not holding up, breathability, and also if it’s even safe to wear during intense movements when I’m hot, out of breath and sweaty. I’d have to hold my breath and lower it to drink water so that’s also a risk. I’ve only played in the summer outside since the pandemic began, haven’t played indoors in years. I will say though, this is by far the biggest thing I miss from pre pandemic, more than things like eating indoors tbh, so want to see if it’s doable.

I typically wear KN95s when doing low movement things like shopping or traveling, but if I’m actively playing an intense sport I’d probably try to make an N95 work.

(Hey everyone, I’m seeing everyone’s responses. Might not be able to respond to everyone. Thanks again)

I saw two people wearing masks within 30 seconds the other day at the grocery store.

I feel sorry for these people.

I find this hard to believe. I can't wrap my mind around someone with this much soy in them actually playing a sport.

All the hacking and wheezing I saw at Publix a couple of nights ago... I almost wished I had a mask.

I'm not skeert of covid, but I really, really hate flu.

Are you willing to wear a mask to (presumably) help prevent getting it?

No.

If I were somewhere that I felt I needed it, I'd get the heck outta there.

Here's an experiment, completely isolate during this change of seasons and when you still "catch the flu" ask yourself how?

I've only ever had flu twice, back to back in one season.

But what do you mean, people isolating and still catching it?

Those people cannot be helped. I frequently go over there for the laughs but it’s really sad. They bitch about being shut ins but won’t do anything about it.

You probably should calculate your VO2max with and without the mask. However, keep in mind that the mask is efficient to 95% of particles .3 microns and above. The covid virus is .06 microns. You can attain the efficacy of training with a study such as this. Hint.......
