It's obviously an insult. What makes the insult homophobic? You know you can insult a gay person and it's not automatically homophobic just because they're gay, right? I know this sounds crazy, but maybe if a gay politician works for the party who's played a larger role in denying gays equals rights to get married, you can make a joke about the irony without hating gay people?

She’s getting called out on it from all directions. You can try to spin it however you want, but everyone sees it for what it is...she thinks calling someone gay is insulting.

See, Republicans don't care; unlike those "tolerant" Democrats. If he would've cut taxes, reduced the size of the federal government, closed the borders and eliminated government mandated discrimination I would have voted for Liberace.

I honestly don't care if she thinks he's gay or even if she thinks there's something morally wrong with him being gay. She tried to say something negative about a Republican politician by insinuating that he was playing hookie from his job so that he could "come out" as a homosexual. The tweet was negative towards Republicans, and Graham, specifically.
Like I said, if a Republican were to say something negative about a Democrat and then proceed to say that negative thing was because they were likely coming out of the closet, that would be perceived as homophobia and that Republican would be raked across the coals for their insensitivity. What's on display here is sheer hypocrisy by the "tolerant" leftists who criticize Republicans for our perceived intolerance.

The point isn’t the jokes. The point is that she isn’t holding to the standards that the Democrats themselves created.
She needs to be held to her team’s own standards.
