MONTGOMERY, Ala. – A new poll shows Katie Britt with a decisive lead over Mo Brooks in the Republican runoff for U.S. Senate.

The survey, taken by McLaughlin and Associates on behalf of the Alabama Forestry Association, showed Britt leading with 54.6% to Brooks 36.4% among likely Republican voters. Nine percent said they remain undecided.
Interestingly, the poll also surveyed how voters voted in the original May 24 Primary election. On that question, 40.4% said they voted for Katie Britt, 30.2% said they voted for Mo Brooks and 16% said they voted for Mike Durant. That’s a representative undervote for both Britt and Durant, who won 45% and 23% on Election Day, but pretty close for Brooks who won 29%. Cross tabs aren’t availably, but these numbers would suggest that Durant voters are swinging toward Britt.

And Alabama will BIGLY regret this decision.

Britt is the epitome of a Karen. Most of her positions are 100% emotion driven

Britt has all sorts of establishment money to blow and she is spamming everyone's mailbox around here. It's nuts! Mo lacks the resources to counter the ad blitz!

Mo blew it when he voted for that $40 Billion Ukraine grift. He could have made a really strong statement by opposing it.

So many championships. So few brain cells.

Hey, maybe you can get Moore to run again. Dumbfricks.

Let's face it. Most Republican voters are RINO humpers. Hopefully this is just a boomer thing and changes in the next generation.

Fair, but I put this down as a loss for Bama, who couldn’t find a stronger candidate.

The reality is that the majority of the population is sleep walking through life. They see billboards and it sticks without a second thought. They hear radio messages and they believe them for what they say.

Covid revealed the scale. Now you can see it.

Do you believe them?

That's what matters.

This may be true, but Brooks deserves the blame. He committed political suicide by suggesting getting to the bottom of 2020 wasn't necessary.

Election integrity is #1 on the list.

This. There is no justification whatsoever for his decision to send all that money into a black hole.

MAGA voters, rural Alabama, went BIG for Britt on Primary night.

Shelby has been transformational for Alabama. His seniority and relationships wielded a large stick for Alabama. Britt is seen as someone that will continue that as support for her is coming from the same people in Wahington and Alabama.

Mo is seen as combative and trying to be a warrior for his ideals and is more interested in being a national celebrity and appearing on Fox News.

I think most Alabamians support his positions and him being somewhat of a fighter for the right, but not at the expense of it costing Alabama.
He can be a celebrity on his own dime.
He really had nothing to do with Space Force, defense contracts and the FBI coming to Huntsville. That was all Shelby.

Safe to say those things would not have happened if Mo was the senator.

His constituents in Ukraine will be sad though.

Durant did best in Huntsville, Mo's district...the people that know Mo the best.

Durant voters were largely anti-Mo.

Mo's support is "baked-in" in his district...and Katie managed to tie him in his own district.

I would start clowning Alabama but my state elected John Bel Edwards not once, but twice.
