This is where Ellison finds out even bird fingers are larger in Texas.

This isn't the Pretti or Good agent. Do we allow LEOs to shoot through front doors? Is that ok in the pursuit of alleged criminals? If so, let's just go ahead and make it policy. One step up from a no knock warrant.

WTF does that have to do with the retardation of believing one state can force another state to apprehend federal agents.

This is between MN and the Feds. Not TX and the Feds.
MN has no authority to demand this.

..and you deflect from this being the issue to the BS in the quotes.

I don't believe federal immunity applies to LEOs that have broken the law, does it? Is shooting at a target through the front door of a home not an indictable offense? Why would TX NOT extradite an alleged criminal?

You're leaning on the politics of this situation (TX vs MN) and not the legality. Idgaf about the politics. If a TX Ranger shot at a suspect through a front door, he could be arrested and tried in TX. Why is this different?

Is he currently in Texas custody? Is MN asking TX to hunt him down then extradite him? I'm ignorant of the situation.

Yes. TX Rangers and FEDERAL agents already arrested him. He's currently being held.

Is the ICE agent currently in TX custody or just in TX?

the TEXAS Rangers work for the TEXAS Dept of Public Safety and report to the Governor of the state of TEXAS

ICE is a FEDERAL agency and works under the FEDERAL Dept of Homeland Security and report to the FEDERAL Secy of Homeland Security and ultimately the President of the United States of America

Ellison has no jurisdiction to file suit against the Governor of Texas

A state can take legal action if another state refuses an extradition request, though it is typically handled through federal court litigation seeking a writ of mandamus against the recalcitrant governor rather than a traditional damages lawsuit. Under the constitutional Extradition Clause, a state's duty to return a fugitive is mandatory, leaving the asylum state's executive with no discretion to refuse. [1, 2]
