Missionaries Travel From Africa To Bring The Gospel To United Methodist Church

A group of devout Christian missionaries has arrived all the way from Africa to reach the United Methodist Church and tell them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Upon hearing of the UMC's beliefs on life and social issues, a group of African believers felt a strong prodding from the Holy Spirit to venture into an entirely foreign culture and bring the Gospel to a dark and godless place.
"If we do not go, who will?" asked Abosede Adeyemi, a Nigerian Christian burdened to reach lost Americans. "These United Methodists are in urgent need of the Good News. It appears they have never read a Bible before. That is why we are launching a mission deep into the heart of the United States to tell them about Jesus Christ."
Adeyemi's church held several nights of prayer and fasting in preparation for sending off the team of missionaries. "God be with them," said church member Davu Negedu. "America is a dangerous, unpredictable place, but the Lord has commanded us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel, so we will send these people to the United Methodist Church to teach them what the Bible says."
Though the church had concerns about the missionaries' safety in the United States, everyone was joyful in fulfilling Christ's Great Commission, even to the unchurched masses of the United Methodist Church.
At publishing time, the African church was already preparing another missionary trip to take the Gospel to Andy Stanley.

We traditional Methodists have been doing this for 50 years. The African Conference of the UMC is more conservative than even the traditionalists here. But the evil UMC Council of Bishops and Judicial Council have made it all but impossible for the African Churches to disaffiliate. I'm glad I'm done with them and hopefully the African Conference can hold on until something is done for them.

Is it possible that divine intervention could see Nigeria save America?
I tell you what, I've never seen more based Christians and Catholics than those that hail from the African continent. One of our local pastors is originally from Nigeria and he's likely the most devout man of faith I've ever known.

Open mouth, thick framed colored glasses, lack of makeup and general attractiveness, and obvious vegan. Of course you know where she stands on the political spectrum and its correlation to how she handles church business.
These same people go nuclear when we point out that stereotypes exist for a reason.

Had to check. Almost got me.

Good stuff! The UMC is a lost denomination at this point, taken over by those who worship a false god and a false gospel.

If I am not mistaken, a few years back the USA received more foreign missionaries than we sent!

Mother Teresa was spot on. America and the West has wealth, but the spiritual poverty is on another level.

The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty -- it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality.

Your faith tends to be a lot stronger and more resilient when you can be killed for it, as is the case in many parts of Africa. Respect to our brothers over there!

My great grandmother was born in England to parents who were devout Methodists. In those days they were referred to as "hard shell" Methodists and did not drink, play cards, or dance. They lived frugally so that they could donate money to send missionaries to Africa and other places. The Methodist church has fallen into apostasy, a far cry from what it used to be.

I don’t mind a little missionaries from time to time.

It won’t be long before US gov runs a coup to take over and usher in the trannies. It may be underway already.
