The coroner didn’t even cover for him. People just read what they wanted to read. The ME’s report basically said it was positional/restraint asphyxiation. Everyone saw that it wasn’t “traumatic asphyxiation” and then forgot they don’t know what traumatic asphyxiation is.

I'm not thrilled with any of this but pretending that them going down that street is happening in a vacuum is childish.
They asked them to go inside 5 frickin times. Sure. If cops yelled at me to go inside on a normal day, I'd be like WTF?
But them just sitting there demonstrates a complete lack of situational awareness.

Given my profession, I tend to usually back the police, but man it seems like Minneapolis PD has a really toxic culture. It feels like they have been at the center of an inordinate amount of controversy where police violence is involved.
