Millennials voting for Sanders
Probably the dumbest block of voters in the history of Presidential elections. They are voting to double their taxes during peak earning years, and on top of that, they are wanting to tax their parents (the rich) who will be passing down trillions in inheritance
Imagine being so insufferable that you want to reduce your own income and inheritance to get "the man."

Whenever I encounter this, I agree and amplify. It really confuses them.
When you refuse to use your opponent's moral language and system, they have no idea what to do.

It is an actual issue and financially disincentives people from buying homes,
You know, the same can be said about the guy or gal 10 years your senior still working and "sitting" on that job that could provide advancement for you... I guess that is their fault for wanting to continue to work?
I am not a boomer and I own several properties that I collect rent on... I also have land that I collect rent on... So, because I made good financial decisions and have been blessed, it is my fault that someone else cannot buy a home?
GTFO with that bullshite...

I was taught history in high school, so no. I’m not poor either. In fact, very little of America is ‘poor’.
Poverty is supposed to be the state in which you cannot get basic necessities.

Do you know what the interest rate was for a home in the 70’s-80’s?
There is no comparison to what you pay now in rent compared to what boomers did.
Starter homes can still be purchased for reasonable prices in much of the country. Sure, young people will struggle to buy homes in expensive real estate markets. That was true 20 years ago too.

I never said it was property owners fault. I explicitly said I don’t want the government to intervene and punish those like you that made sound financial decisions. All I asked is that people acknowledge that the 2 bed 1 bath house that people initially bought as a starter home is no longer being built, is rarely for sale, but lore likely is being rented at the cost of a mortgage note.
That’s it

You know why the 2 bed 1 bath home is no longer being built? It is because most people in this country do not want to start with a 900 Square Foot "starter", they want to jump straight to a 2,800 sqft 4 bedroom, 3 bath home to start with...
If someone is paying rent at the cost of a mortgage note, then maybe they need to re-evaluate where they are currently living and the lifestyle they think they need...

In their defense, boomer politicians screwed them hard.
Boomer politicians made the mistake of assuming the boomer population size was any where close to replaceable. Mix that in with progressive policies and you get the 2020 U.S. economy

They haven't been built since the 40's maybe early 50's.

There are plenty of small 3BR/2BA houses being built in places like Denham Springs for like 150k. It might not be where you want to live and you might have a 20 mile commute to work though.

Those were the original 'tiny' homes.

Xynial or whatever here. 37.
Not a chance in heck I’d vote for Bernie. I would crawl through glass to vote for Obama, Hillary, or anybody other than Warren over Bernie. Not a liberal, he’s just that awful.
Interestingly, my sister, 40, is all aboard the Bernie/Warren train.
Big difference is that I’m gainfully employed since before I graduated college, paid for my own school and moved out when I was 19. She took 7 years for an English Lit degree, got kicked out of the house at 27, and works for my parents now.

This leans in to some of the problem - in most cases, it's simply not possible to have anything but a lower-middle class existence outside of commuting distance to a city. Sure, there are exceptions, but that's generally how it goes down.
There is so much demand for urban or urban-adjacent real estate that the markets are skewing tremendously in both directions. You can live out in the sticks for next to nothing - but how will you afford it? You can live in the city or commute from nearby - but you'll pay out the nose for it.

Not necessarily true. Boomers are living longer and are in better health due to our 'crappy healthcare" so they are working longer. Most of the people I know that are retired wish they hadn't. They are bored shitless.

My boomer in-laws and parents both retired in their 60s and both work pretty much full time jobs. My in-laws took to farming and my parents bought a business after my dad was retired 5-6 years.
My my side of the family is unhealthy due to their weight but they’re both in fine shape to live another 15-20 years and show no signs of slowing down.

Millenials supported Obama in far greater numbers than Gen X.
