Mike Roger interviewed for FBI director. Would be a devastating pick, IMO.

Rogers, the 2024 Republican Senate nominee in Michigan who lost his election last week by a razor-thin margin, met Thursday with President-elect Trump's transition team regarding potentially serving as FBI director in the former and future president's second administration, sources familiar tell Fox News.
The meeting took place at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.

Unfamiliar with him, not being funny, truly asking, devastating in a good way or bad way?

Bad pick. He is ex fbi. Was member of gang of eight while congressman. Pretty sure he is deep state. While he was gang of 8, his wife had a job with a global security agency. They somehow got a contract to provide security for state department embassies. Then benghazi happened. I think rogers quietly resigned/retired. But he left congress. Worked for cnn for a while I think.

We're talking about Admiral Mike Roger's, the hero that warned Trump his office was bugged.

No. The Mike Rogers that just lost the senate race in Michigan.
Two different people. Same name.

This is disqualifying. I don't want a Bureau man who's loyal to the Bureau. Think about all the FBI buddies this guy has long standing relationships with who are going to be in his ear about protecting the bureau.
Give me Kash or give me death.

If Jeb Bush likes this guy then it is time to bid him farewell.

Hopefully this is like the Rooney rule but for RINOs. Throw the RINOs a couple bones to make them feel like they are included, by setting them up with interviews but actually hire the guy who is going be effective. Otherwise, may as well keep Wray.
