I mean it’s kind of remarkable that VP has turned so drastically and publicly against the POTUS that he served under.

Can you think of another similar situation in the history of American politics? I can’t

How many chiefs of staff and how many upper level cabinet members have come out against him now?

There is no parallel in American history.

There’s never been another period in our political history on many, many counts, not just this one. And I’m quite confident in asserting that the unprecedented nature of all the actions and such, the vast majority of which being pretty unfortunate for the American reputation well into the future, has been almost exclusively a one way street.

But my bro, I thought they were all yes men who were in these lofty positions only by virtue of kissing the ring, bowing before the man. The situation y’all are describing sounds much, much different than the accepted narrative on the matter.

Basically all of them

This would sink any normal candidate but somehow it’s a badge of honor for Trump and it only further endears him to his base.

It really is incredible

It was Kash Patel, Seb Gorka and the venerable Jeff Clark there at the end

A real murderers row of statesmen.

Pence, a religious man sticks to what he feels are convictions, and tMob casts all kind of disparaging remarks his way.

They've given up Conservatism, for Trump, I guess religious conviction isnt off the table.

HW Bush laughed at Reagan’s “voodoo economics” and trashed him on the campaign trail.

He would never speak ill of Reagan after he became VP…..or at anytime after he became POTUS and years after his public life.

We all know these guys may hate each other but they keep it behind closed doors. They would never come out so publicly like this the way Pence has…..and the way most of Trump’s cabinet level picks have….

Yet somehow it doesn’t matter when it comes to Trump. The base is with him no matter what.

Whats the old saying...If everyone thinks you’re an idiot, perhaps you’re the idiot.

Trumps political isolation is all on him. Every bit of it. Hes burned through several Republican leadership positions already, they cast them out.

So hes got new puppets, and on and on and on... They;ll be scapegoats too.

So you propose that this sudden outburst of malevolence today that even basic levels of common sense would interpret as if anything ultimately being a boost of some degree to the Democrat Party’s efforts to retain control of the White House (an unholy alliance, as they say) is the action of a pious man with honorable intentions? And not the e selfish act of a bitter person? That is indeed the eventual long and short of your assertion(s). I definitely don’t see the honor or grace in that.

America vs Globalism. Simple as that. If PDJT if Trojan Horse, then we’ve already lost. Until that time, he represents Americans regardless if he doesn’t pass the all holy conservative litmus test. Who else you got that’s going to get over 70 million votes? Name 1 alternative.

Mike Pence on Fox News: "It should come as no surprise that I will not be endorsing Donald Trump this year."

This made me go back and look at the endorsements Trump got from the former veeps and POTUSes in the past 2 election cycles:

Quayle - endorsed Trump in '16 and '20; advised Pence to certify the election for Biden.
Cheney - endorsed Trump in '16, not in '20.
GWB - didn't endorse Trump in either
GHWB - didn't endorse Trump in '16; wasn't alive in '20.
Pence - says he won't endorse Trump in '24.

Eh, Roosevelt and Taft off the top of my head. Going back to Jefferson who was Adams VP, man that was pretty radical too. Do you history bro?

NB4 yes I know how it worked back in Jefferson and Adams time.

It’s a rather simple formula:

These folks are all in for anything and everything that has the perception of negativity for Trump. Despite their going on and on about “principles” and “true Conservatives” yadda yadda - none of that plays any real role whatsoever. It’s simply the support of the opposite/opposition of Trump.
