MO, if he doesn't think he can get the votes, he can start by making small changes.
He can take one group. The group that has been hit the hardest when it comes to healthcare is those who are self employed. I am in that group. Let me buy a true catastrophic plan. Let me buy a plan devoid of Obamacare mandates, especially the Essential Benefits and Community Rating mandates. That is simple. This ties into affordability. He can make that case.
Every single Dem and MSM would instantly attack claiming Grandma will die, it's for the rich etc.
Rand Paul would claim it explodes the deficit.
Meghan McMassie would come a screeching about Epstein.
At the end of the day nothing changes.
Meanwhile in reality.

Congressional lawmakers on Tuesday are scrambling to hammer out plans to address rising insurance premium costs before their holiday recess, as the expiration of Affordable Care Act subsidies looms large.
The House Rules committee meets at 2 p.m., with the GOP leadership health plan on its agenda. Moderate Republicans will push for an amendment that includes ObamaCare subsidies, an effort that may fail given a need to offset spending with cuts.
Moderate senators, on the other hand, are pushing to find a health care resolution on their side of the Capitol.

I have an idea….: who about getting the government out of the healthcare business and let the free markets right the ship with guardrails
How about getting rid of health insurance? Every time the insurance component, a/k/a the "payment component", is added to the mix, prices become unsustainable.
Every Friggin' Time!!

So wtf are they doing about besides tweeting?
They are step by step repealing the parts of the ACA that make health insurance affordable, such as the individual mandate (spreads cost over a larger group) and the subsidies (further helps the lower income classes). Meanwhile they blame Obama, who hasn’t been president for almost a decade.
What are they doing? They are intentionally making life harder for regular people.

everyone agrees.. but, maybe doing nothing but grandstanding and allowing premiums to skyrocket at christmas before midterm election year is not the best strategy.... let's grandstand, do nothing, and make nasty comments about couples stabbed. good times.

We know. You have the majority, stop being a p@ssy talking about it and repeal it and get insurance out of the medical industry.
Imagine being so naive that you think it's that easy. You still need some Democrat votes to repeal it.

Odumbasscare plans increased by 129% from 2014 and employer sponsored plans increased 68%. The CPI increased 39% from 2014. This means that health insurance plans bought on the Odumbasscare exchange are 3.3 times higher and employer sponsored plans are 1.76 times higher than they would have been if inflation and other normal market factors were the only thing influencing price. Am I interpreting the graph correctly? If not can someone (not SFP he/she is a fricking retard) explain it like I am 5? TIA.
