Those are just the facts!! If we are judging potential presidential candidates based off of last nights results, then why isn’t Mike DeWine getting more praise by all the GOPe? He outperformed DeSantis by winning Ohio by 25%…25 points!!!!! Ohio is solid Red!!!! I’m curious as to why Ohio policies aren’t the way forward based off again…margin of victory. For the record…I’ll 100% vote for Trump, DeSantis, DeWine or Whoever is atop the ticket.

I’d like to see DeWine throw his hat in the ring.
Let the best man win.

I don't even know who Mike DeWine is. Get him in the primary arena with DeSantis and see how that works.

I remember when Ohio was a battleground state. Kudos!

DeWine is good as a governor.

He has no chance at President.

A lot of people forget or are unaware that he got his arse handed to him by Sherrod Brown for US Senator.

DeSantis wasn't running against Nan Whaley.

This is the Republican equivalent when the Democrats look at their bench and bring up that J. B. Pritzker should be the Presidential nominee. No one gives a shite about Pritzker.

DeWine is great but he is too old, I think, and does not have a national profile. DeSantis doesn't have those issues.

And the problem with Trump is that he has lost the popular vote twice, in very different circumstances. And last night's fiasco is in considerable part his fault, for encouraging/endorsing lousy candidates.

His policies on gun control are fricked, too. He picked up where Kasich left off.

FFS, the dude was endorsed by the Brady Campaign...

The GOP talent is in Florida and Ohio.
JD Vance is an up and comer. I would not be surprised if he runs for President in 12 years. I think absent Trump DeSantis and Rubio are solid. Rubio is smart and knows how to legislate.

I also think Laxalt is very smart as is Blake Masters also Lee Zeldin even though he lost. Put his arse in PA and he would have made Fetterman quit.

I am however worried about Texas going forward. I don't see any real talent coming out of there

That is super popular in a solidly red state.
