Mexico's southern border:

quote:
Mr. Peña Nieto stressed that any reassessment of the bilateral relationship or renegotiation of decades-old accords, including the North American Free Trade Agreement, would be part of a broader package. Negotiations would include more than just trade, he said; they would also encompass migration and security, two issues where Mexico plays a strategic role for the United States.
“We will bring to the table all themes,” he said. “Trade, yes, but also migration and the themes of security, including border security, terrorist threats and the traffic of illegal drugs, arms and money.”
quote:
And in response to Mr. Trump’s biggest campaign promise, to build a wall to halt the flow of people and drugs from Mexico to the United States, Mr. Peña Nieto renewed his promise to keep Mexico open to the world, and to the United States.
“Mexico does not believe in walls,” Mr. Peña Nieto said in his address. “Our country believes in bridges.”

That's a fence though, we're building a wall.

Nah, they need to keep their thuggery in their own country.

Yeah a bridge where it only goes one way and thats out if mexico and off his plate of things to worry about like trying to keep his people in mexico because it can provide them a suitable life.

Good. Build a bridge that carries your goods and services over the Rio Grand at a 35% tax rate.
Posted on 1/24/17 at 7:19 am to joshnorris14
Well, a wall is but a bridge turned on it's side.

What is his leverage in any negotiation?

Ok no problem.... You don't like our wall and want bridges that's cool. No more aid to your country at all. Any illegal coming into the USA will be shot on site, and every Mexican citizen convicted of a violent crime, in our prison system that is in there will either be put to death immediately unless you either pay for the imprisonment or take them back under your dime.
Frick Mexico!!!!!
Frick Mexico!!!!!

Doesn't Mexico have a wall on their southern border??
Posted on 1/24/17 at 7:41 am to tiger perry
We can have both, if you build the wall and have only a few bridges then the bridges would be easier to control. I really don't see a problem here.

Is that an El Choppo quote?

"One way" bridges; try going to Mexico illegally and see how long Senior Pena locks you up in Mexican prison.
