This has been posted to the board at least 10 times over the last 2 years. Are you a 1st time reader of this passage? It gives me a bit of a lump in my throat every time I read it. Actually have it copied and pasted to my notes for reference.

Dear "unknown author" you are full of shite! You sound like one miserable Mother Fricker. I live alone by choice and love everything, except the damn doctor visits, which are a huge pain in the azz. It happens to everyone. I am closer to my God and my loving children than ever before. I know the end is coming and I'm prepared, at least I think I am, I've never died before. Bitching, moaning and groaning and feeling sorry for yourself will not extend your life one fricking day, it will only the people around you as miserable as you are.

Things were far better in relative terms when the Founders put their lives on the line and began a movement. And they had more at risk than the regular Cletus in a tree stand or mechanic at the local garage.

How long will it take and how much prodding until that spirit explodes? I don't know that answer, but if we continue on our current path..... we will find out.

I hope you're right but if being locked out of their businesses, churches, and schools while their cities burned and their president was fricked out of reelection all over a virus less lethal to them than the flu didn't bring them forward, what's it going to take to do that?

Some of you are misunderstanding the passage. It's not about living alone. It's about people that simply want to live their lives and are willing to put up with quite a bit of crap but at some point realize the life they want to lead isn't going to be possible. Or more likely someone they love or care about is severely impacted by the government and they feel they are now forced into action. They have no choice because the life they have lived is not possible anymore and they are going to channel their rage to punish those who took it from them and realize they will likely never get it back. They don't care because they already feel their life is over.

Some examples? Watch some Mel Gibson movies like "The Patriot" or "Mad Max" or "Braveheart". All about men that had disagreements with the government and how it was run but were willing to live with it. Often they were the ones pushing for peace and trying to calm those who were most wanting to fight. Then they reached a breaking point and completely flipped.

It can take many forms as well like Bulldozer guy. Robert E Lee is a relevant one. Many of the folks in the Revolution were opposed to breaking from England until they felt they had no choice and then became some of the most ferocious. Plenty of people on both sides of the Israel/Palestinian issue who fit this.

How many stories of battles where men fought desperate battles to the end because they felt they had nothing left to lose and assumed they were going to die anyway so they fought to the bitter end?

That's what this is about. If anything someone who has a family is more likely to fit this category because they are more likely to lose what they care about more than their own lives but still be alive. To them dedicating their lives to fighting what hurt or killed their loved one is a way of honoring them and gives them purpose.

It's also not a wonderful and romantic thing. It's a terrible thing of last resort that we don't want. It usually ends badly for everyone and there is absolutely tremendous pain.

Damone....
That's your deep thoughts? All you have to offer?
That's part of this countries problem, dip shits talking out their asses because they don't have to be accountable for their words hiding behind a laptop.
It's not my fault the kids always took your ball at recess. Just think, if you would have stood up to em, you wouldn't be a sniveling worm today.

Damn. All the limp wristed purple hair types are all offended.
Actually, I did like the "Peaky Blinders", a good series.
Now go finish your cereal and play video games junior.

This is the unfathomed anger of a man who just wants to be left alone!

Isn't that exactly what you're doing? The chances of you fighting with raw hate and bringing TRUE TERROR to anyone's door are precisely zero
