If you want serious dialog you have to see that in that respect every bill is unique, which would have made Trump’s statement unserious. The statement being made implies that “bill like this” means a continuation without addressing the excess spending. If not, then what do you think it meant?

I love the rainbows and unicorn land posters who believe a balanced budget would ever pass the Congress so since that won’t happen then we should just do nothing lol we just need to elect a few more Republicans and then we will get it right, amirite?

What choice does Trump have? The votes simply aren’t there for the things he would prefer (thanks to the RINOs). If he bails on this bill, what happens? Serious question.

This is not a budget. The budget was passed in Oct of 2024. It will end in Sept 2025.
