Why am i seeing Cajuns melting over there homeland in Canada, some are saying if war breaks out between the U.S. and Canada that they're gonna side with the motherland. lol damn baws

Nova Scotia gave them freedom from France but it was too damn cold. So when the Cajuns were kicked out they either trecked down to New England or shipped down to the Gulf, landing in south Louisiana. Not only was it warmer in Louisiana but the soil was much more fertile for farming and the fishing was very profitable.
The most profitable work for Cajuns when in Canada was fur trapping. Imported fur had become a huge hit in Europe replacing the boring use of wool for clothes. The women demanded fur from Canada.

I have my ancestry traced back to France and they were based in Normandy which had a lot of Nordic blood. When the Brits moved on Canada and kicked the Cajuns out, a lot of them (including my family) were sent back to France. Most of those people immediately planned to get out because they were still oppressed in France. They learned of the Spaniards success on the Gulf Coast and so they headed there and landed in Houma and gradually moving west.
