The vast majority were from near Tours, ,my ancestors arrived after Acadie was settled from Bordeaux, and were the first to arrive in LA direct from Acadie. They stayed in NOLA for a few years so the daughters could go to school. Trappers were further inland.
grandson of Salvador Mouton was Gov Mouton.
