Media Coverage/Politicizing of Racism Has to Stop

I had an encounter today...
I dropped my truck off at the dealership to check an issue. I was walking out of the door at the same time a black man wearing a mask(covid) walked in. The guy stop about a foot from me and asked me, "do you run?". I didn't quite understand him so I thought he was asking "what do I run" like maybe what vehicle do I have? Anyway, I said what I drove with a question on my face... he said "your people killed my people... I'm gonna frick you up...". I wasn't sure if he was joking or what the heck was happening so I kind of stood there dumbfounded. He then repeated a few times "you gonna do something? you wanna do something?". Just to de-escalate the situation, I told him "I'm sorry" and eventually he walked on into the dealership.
I stood outside the dealership with primarily black maintenance workers around and just stood in this sort of panic like what the heck, am I in danger here? Am I targeted? A black lady walked out a minute later and said she heard the whole thing and reiterated that it was wrong and she was ex-military and would have intervened if it escalated. She said she doesn't know what's going on with the kids these days and what they're being taught.
Needless to say, I'll be carrying 1000% of the time from now on. But... what in the actual frick is happening?!

Good grief man, have some respect and stand up for yourself.

Another reason why you should conceal carry. Everyday.
The only time you need a gun is when you need it "right now".

I get it. I was still confused and wasn't sure what the heck just happened. Even if I was carrying, I would have preferred to de-escalate over saying anything provocative. But I wasn't carrying and if he was serious and had a weapon, anything controversial would have potentially put me in more danger I dunno. I'll be more prepared next time for sure. It happened so fast.

Hell start carrying on your hip if legal in Miss. cause these radicals need to be calmed down and like in South Africa if not calmed down then to defend yourself if these fu3kers come at you with a violent threat

Who is inciting violence? It's not Trump. He's not even on Twitter anymore.

What can self respect do in a situation like that?
In today's society, if one isn't quick witted, they can lose their lives. If a crazy black supremacist comes up to me and starts being hostile, I would probably try to de-escalate the situation also..because the reality is, if he starts trying to fight me, and I defend myself with a shove or punch, I'd probably get arrested and charged with a hate crime, as prosecutors try to imprison me for 10 years. Meanwhile, the black supremacist would only be given a slap on the wrist and only charged with a misdemeanor, that's if the black supremacist is even arrested.

Oh and this shite happened in Madison, MS... most would say one of the safer towns in MS. Not like I was in downtown Jackson asking for it. Very concerning that people are being taught to hate whites but to actually experience it firsthand and be threatened with my life is gut-wrenching. But like I said, I'll be much more aware and prepared if it ever happens again.

I’m walking out to my truck. If you don’t make a move before I get there, I’m not worried about it.

It’s spitting distance to Jackson and 1-55 runs through it. It ain’t that damn safe.

I had an incident last week where I was driving one way and a second car was driving the opposite way and we both were in the middle turn lane. I saw the car well in advance, and gave them the right way, went around them and then made my left hand turn. No big deal. Couple minutes later this guy pulls up as I’m getting out and starts jawing at me. Starts going on about you know what you did I got it all on camera. I’m like “what did I do?“ He never did answer me. I assumed he was talking about The head on collision that I easily avoided. No flashing lights, no honking horn, it wasn’t a big deal. At 6:30 in the morning there aren’t that many cars out. He starts telling me to go call the city police and they’ll let me know or something, he was rambling it didn’t make sense. As I took a couple of steps to ask him again what he was talking about he said “ don’t roll up on me, you don’t want what I got. “. To me that indicated he was carrying a handgun. Motherfricker, this was at 6:30 in the morning!
Thankfully there were other coworkers who were there & witnessed it all, otherwise things might’ve gone differently.
As if I could see from 100 + yards away he was black and I was just gonna intentionally go frick with them in the middle lane, some of these frickers just have a hyper inflated sense of entitlement where they see any perceived injustice as some sort of personal racial affront. frick that.

This is why they keep doing it. Eventually, these ignorant blacks are going to cause people to react violently to them, which is what they want. This is how they hit the ghetto lottery.

Just wait till CRT gets fully implemented in MS public schools.

Please tell me you are young and never have been in a confrontation before. Sack up.

He did have some respect. He didn't get dragged into some meaningless fight with some thug with much less to lose than him over some nonsense like someone in the ghetto would.
What would you have said or done? Keep in mind you have more than two seconds to think about it and aren't being verbally assaulted as your type your answer. A lot of people greatly overestimate how 'alpha' they'll act in a real no-win situation. I'm sure he regrets the best he could come up with on his feet was 'I'm sorry' but he came out unscathed

Exactly. I have two 7-year-old girls and a wife I'm trying to support. He never stepped towards me or touched me. I'm confident I have the hand-to-hand ability to defend myself but if he had a weapon, no chance with me not carrying today.
Plus, like I said, I would still attempt to de-escalate. I didn't have a second to stop and think "hmmmm what should I say or do in this situation..." It happened so quick. Good reminder to stay sharp and run scenarios through your head in case it happens to you. Always de-escalate if you can.
