I’ve now offered twice to take a step back and you haven’t accepted. How about you just move along and worry about yourself, I think you’re the one with a problem.

Man, this should be a banner at the top of the board today. I've tried to put it in about a million other much longer terms, but I can't get it better than these 3 sentences

What responsibility exactly though? For the Iran war?

Yes. I think you underestimated (Trump too) how negatively that would be received given a major pillar of his appeal from the beginning was divesting from middle eastern entanglements and no new wars. I understand the argument that this is necessary to accomplish that, but your average voter does not and the admin completely failed at communicating the long term goals. People felt lied to/betrayed.

A lot of chatter for months about caving to Dems by scaling back deportations also. I don’t agree with that, but many did/do.

it's like I said earlier about what Vance said...kudos to him for having the balls to break with the POTUS, but he clearly isn't cut out for running the country. Why? Because his objection to the war was that it wasn't good optics.

I’m not completely sold on Vance, but what I do know is Vance and Kirk were pivotal to keeping Trump on track and avoiding these unforced errors. Once Kirk was killed, Susie immediately limited influence from anyone in that realm and replaced them with neocon, Israel shills.

the rest of the entire frickin party has been straight up NEGLIGENT in their jobs. I mean, they have not done a motherfrickin thing, man. They squandered the majority that TRUMP GAVE THEM - ENTIRELY.

I don’t disagree with you here. They deserve blame as well. The criticism about Trump is he failed to drain the swamp in any significant way. They shouldn’t have been in a position to obstruct in the first place.

He’s right.

They deserve so much blame for stabbing voters in the back again like the first Trump term. Frick em all.

I will add that Trump deserves blame as well. His messaging sucked and when will politicians learn that when they say something so emphatically like “No New Taxes” and no “New Wars” you damn well better follow through.

Then once you start it, by damn finish it. Frick optics.

I'll agree to this much that the messaging could have been better. Concur.

Honestly though, we are are headed down the path that I've been expecting and want to see happen anyways so it's hard for me to be too upset.

Overall though, even if the messaging on it had been pitch perfect, it wouldn't have mattered when the GOP at large was willing to concede their majority to the opposition as a pussy arse way of getting rid of their own leader. When your own party is full of snakes, what are you gonna do?

As I said earlier, they're all about to take the dildo of consequences straight up the arse without lube. And I for one won't lend a sympathetic ear. They've earned it. They neglected to do their damn jobs.

Also, this is the part that is coming without the lube.

If you lead based solely, or even just primarily, on the optics of your decisions, you are leading the charge for the status quo. Sometimes things have to happen even if they aren't popular.

Solid, Ed. Very solid.

I tend to agree on Vance, he seems like an opportunist and weak politically. I would vote for him over the Dem candidate 100 times out of 100, but he seems like he'd be the type to make concessions to experienced Dem Congress critters that know how to play the game and be ruthless.

He would be walked all over in his current form. Maybe with some more seasoning he could be a viable force, but for '28 I think Desantis has to be the man.

Agreed. He's a pretty savvy politician, but I don't like politicians. I want a real leader.

You know, Trump said the same thing when he was asked about what Vance had said. He agreed. He acknowledged that the Iran war hurt the midterms. But when asked he said, "but you know, if I had to do it again, I would HAVE TO do it again."

And it's really just that simple. Sometimes you have to do shite that people might not like. JD Vance wouldn't have done it. And we wouldn't be able to divest ourselves from the middle east because we would still be having to clean up their reckless terroristic bullshite indefinitely just as we have had to do for the past 50 damn years. Eventually it was going to have to be dealt with if we wanted to move forward with any semblance of security in the region enough so to step away.

Vance wouldn't have done it because it wouldn't look good. That isn't a leader. That is someone who, as you said, would be walked all over if he were in the Oval Office.

I don’t see it, but I would GLADLY eat crow for a month if it plays out like you think it will.

This is where we differ a bit. Yes the GOP is largely comprised of cucked snakes content to watch it burn around them to avoid having to govern. I think they greatly underestimate the resolve of the people that voted Trump in 24 and what manifests in two years from the political right because of how the Dems inevitably will overplay their hand will make them long for a return to the Trump days.

I’ve been saying the people that didn’t vote and the younger generation that flipped didn’t do so because they suddenly identify with Dems like Dems are foolishly celebrating. They did what they did as a frick you to Trump and the current iteration of the GOP.

The "war" was started in 1979 by Jimmy Carter. There has been no resolution with Iran since then. We just let them frick us in the arse for 440 and then said, "Oh God, thank you thank you thank you.

It will be harder for the next dem president to fund them like Obama did.

This is absolutely true. Unless we get the wholesale cleansing of this filthy fricking system that a lot of folks hope for, this entire country is going to miss Trump BIGLY once he is gone, whether you like him or hate him.

You can honestly push it back even farther than that. This entire thing was actually set in motion by British imperial greed decades before then. But yeah, 79 is when it went kinetic.
