Meanwhile, in global warming news - Snowfall in Sahara desert

Sahara Desert covered in 15 inches of SNOW as freak weather blankets sand dunes
quote:
More than 15 inches (40cm) has blanketed sand dunes across the small town of Ain Sefra, Algeria.
It is the second time snow has hit in nearly 40 years, with a dusting also recorded in December 2016.
But this snowfall which hit yesterday, is much deeper than the fleeting shower little more than a year ago.
Locals, who endure temperatures of 37C in summer, were stunned as dense snow settled on the town, known as ‘the gateway to the desert’.

This is caused by global warming.
And if you question that, you are stupid. Science isn't about asking questions.

Global warming works in mysterious ways.

We better get this global warming under control before everything freezes.

I’m aware. My point is that at the same time conservatives on this board are crowing about record winter lows, there are places in the world registering record summer highs. When liberals (as few as there are) posted about record summer highs in the past, legions on this board rightly called them out for it. Stop being hypocrites.

And it’s 117 degrees in Sydney.
Yeah, that's where the flying foxes are dying from heat stroke.

As a libertarian on this board, I find that’s generally my role. By time I notice a thread, the echo chamber has usually already become deafening

"Endure" 98 degrees? Bruh that's October in South Louisiana.

FWIW snow is far from unheard of in North Africa. Algeria and Morocco have ski resorts.

Snow and bitter cold have been occurring in this region for aeons. As usual, the PoliBoard interprets natural weather variations as "climate", a myopic, narrow minded view which totally disdains the real fact that the earth is progressively, ON AVERAGE, getting WARMER, each year, and this warming is almost certainly due to human activity pumping megatons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
