Trump has made the decision to not offend Thune and put him on the spot so he can get what he can out of him.
Thune is waiting for the necessary indulgences to be paid. As McConnell’s protégé, Thune is performing the caucus leadership role that McConnell once held. McConnell is merely the face of the resistance to the Save Act.
Once the gop gets tired of having a gun to their collective heads, the indulgences will be paid and Thune will then orchestrate the move forward.
Thune, like McConnell before him, is not to be trusted.

Power and money.

So Trump really just talks about these two because they have no leverage?
That's chickenshit and being a pussy.
The people have no voice and no representation.

The SAVE act is dead. The GOP and the Democrats don’t want it.

There aren’t 60 votes for cloture.
This is the real reason for the bill being stalled. Last reported, Thune had about 54 yes votes. Save Act will not pass until he can get to 60.
That won't stop the Panicans from overreacting though.

Who said that?
Bills that have no chance of passing both chambers from the moment they are drafted, regardless of what they purport to do, are a waste of time.

It would take an act of God to get six additional Democrats to vote for it in an election year.

BC everyone talks term limits, but nobody does anything about it.
Power is too hard for them to give up voluntarily.

Stop it. Term limits require a constitutional amendment, that’s much harder than getting cloture on a SAVE Act bill.

It passed the house and it puts the cheaters on record dummy

Now that’s big stuff. Well worth wasting time over.

Did the founders envision that we’d all be run into the ground by a bunch of geriatric career politicians compromised by foreign powers?
Maybe the worst bunch of clowns and shitbirds imaginable.
An unbelievable course of events.
