The use of the term "violence" to describe non-violoent ideas or actions is so old and is an abuse of the language.
When not building a wall and stopping illegal immigration that lets in gang members, Chinese, terrorist is actual violence that is committed against the citizens you are supposed to protect.

Notice what he says on friendly places like CNN & MSNBC and what he says in congressional testimony. They're generally completely opposite.
