Handling of the Hard Rock collapse, Excessive lockdowns, cancelling Mardi Gras and Conventions, and costing the city millions in tax revenue, but the recall pretty much hinges on a couple first class plane tickets. I hope it fails and the city crumbles even further. THIS IS WHAT YOU VOTED FOR! Not like they did not know about her after the first 4 years.

Yep as you say the power house of GOP that hasn’t put a Republican in mayoral position in over 75 years

Last Republican mayor of New Orleans was in 72………..1872 Benjamin Flanders.

As a resident of Louisiana your life will suffer too…..Believe it or not it’s one of the main economic engines of the state. No matter how we got here, removing this dumb bitch from office needs to the main priority.

Lol, yeah because the masses of Republicans in Orleans Parish are finally stepping out into the light to flaunt their racism, just like the roaming racist MAGA mobs in Chiraq that assaulted Josie Smollet.

Good. Let them keep playing the race card in such obvious bullshite situations. Maybe people will wake up and realize it's always been a grift, especially in New Orleans.

and you know what?

I don't give 2 shits that she is a woman or that she is black.

That city is so horribly run she makes Mitch Landrieu look good.

I agree with your point, but it has been headed in this direction since Katrina. I just think the uptown progressives need to live with what they asked for in their mayor. She is the same person she was in her first term. She still has the same chief of police.

Tha frick

I am betting she hasn't knelt to pray at the altar unless a camera is around.

Also, what about all the other victims of crime?

Black politicians all seemingly have two things in common. They play the race card at the drop of a hat, and they're horrendously corrupt.

He said Cantrell was "playing the race card," and took exception to it, noting his long history of activism in support of Black residents and against White politicians like former Mayor Mitch Landrieu, former District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro and Gov. John Bel Edwards.

"Why is Gordon Plaza suffering? Why is Lincoln Beach suffering?" Batiste said. "It's about the Black issues that the mayor has denied."

Not often one sees such a blatant, conspicuous self-contradiction all in one statement.

It was either by accident or a sly, fully conscious taunt.

How much plainer could this perennial candidate for anything and everything have made it.

Just peering through the fog of his delusions of grandeur, he sees himself in that position.

Were that to come to pass, anyone thinks the assault on the cultural history and traditions of this city has been significant - ya' ain't seen nothin' yet.

As for that beautiful Lincoln Beach site on Haynes Blvd. it suffers from the same problems as does what remains of the 6-Flags site in the East.

In a truly viable city a site like Lincoln Beach would not have just sat there for 40 years plus.

It has always had the best sand beach - even better than Pontchartrain Beach, which itself has been long gone, and includes a giant swimming pool.

The site has to be seen to be appreciated - the potential that's there.

Entrepreneurs would be killing each other for the opportunity to develop a site like that.

But it's all cordoned off by the Levee Board, and people are not allowed on that site.

Were they to "develop" that site in "Batiste's image" it would apply the kill shot to what remains of Haynes Blvd which itself has been hanging on since the 70s.

Personally, have no intent of "enabling" a conniver like Batiste.

If you want to continue the willful destruction of this city, would actually rather take a chance with someone like Malcolm Suber.

At least he admits proudly to what he is.

In a situation like this, it amounts to nothing more than trading a devil for a witch.

Another exercise in futility.

Also, if by some miracle Moreno or Morrell or Charbonnet, or anybody else on that Council would get the position, nothing would change.

When will we have a Politician with the guts to look directly into the camera and tell black people that they aren't special?

I mean, wasn't that MLK's dream after all?

Raise your hand if you're surprised. When you're a despicable piece of shite with zero intelligence and not a single redeeming quality, you go with racism/sexism/homophobia/etc.
