Regardless of the bullshite they put up with their job isnt even in the top ten most dangerous jobs. A fricking garbage collector is more likely to die than a cop.

73 cops were killed in the line of duty last year. How many garbage men died?

So, which jobs are seeing the most fatal accidents and injuries? They’re mostly the same ones that have earned this notorious distinction for years. For 2020, the top 10 most dangerous jobs were (source: BLS):

Logging Workers
Aircraft Pilots & Flight Engineers
Derrick Operators in Oil, Gas & Mining
Roofers
Garbage Collectors
Ironworkers
Delivery Drivers
Farmers
Firefighting Supervisors
Power Linemen

People just have to realize that the majority of cops are just regular people with a bit more grit and courage.

Takes a lot of grit and courage to run a speed trap.

OP takes 2.....2....instances he feels represents LEO's across the nation. There was a local funeral here recently for a police officer killed in the line of duty, killed by a POS. The look on his widow's face, the faces of his children, when they received the American flag that had been draped across his coffin, would rip the heart out of most Americans. Nothing to do with "silly cop worship". Didn't see CNN, MNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc there. Rather doubt any leftists were there. Sadly, these funerals happen way more frequently now a days. It's called "respect",numbnuts.

No I don’t live in a bubble, I just acknowledge that there’s risk in their job and I don’t blindly hate them. Uvalde PD is a disgrace and they deserve everything they got coming to them. Hopefully that department is disbanded

I seen 2 coworkers burned to death and another that lived and wished he died.

Nor did I.

No. Its called life. Police arent some special class that deserves special treatment. The sooner LEO realizes that the better off they will be.

They're hopeless.

Roofers & Farmers are more likely to die performing their jobs than cops (per official BLS stats).

You don't see people running around like a bunch of tards yelling "Back the Roofers!"

Year in and year out, garbage collecting ranks among the top 10 most dangerous occupations.

Garbage Collection Rated One of Most Dangerous Jobs

Averaging 90 deaths annually per 100,000 workers, collection falls behind fishing, with 178 deaths, and timber cutting, with 156.

This U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics chart is from 2019:

It must represent some significant portion of them, because over a hundred LEO’s sat around listening to children bleed out on Tuesday instead of doing the thing they signed up to do.

Why would it? You think cops are running into an active shooter situation? You can go all the way back to the Columbine massacre and you’ll find the cops sat outside while those two bastards were actively hunting and killing their classmates. You’re a fool if you think cops are ever going in guns blazing. You’re on your own in these situations. Cops are trained to hold a perimeter. They aren’t a trained military assault force.

To hell with police. Nothing but front line government enforcers. They are NOT your friends

They will steal you freedom for a paycheck

We need cops, but they need to be held to account. When they eff up, whether it’s a no knock raid where they blow away a startled guy on a couch or it’s a group of them listening to children die on the other side of a wall while they wait on proper equipment to save their own steroid riddled and shaven pathetic bodies, they need to be called on the carpet.
