Two examples...
around 40 years ago someone paid me a compliment, at a concert, after simply trying to keep the peace between a drunk and and another concert goer. I'm simply stating - always be aware of who is around you; even the smallest disagreements are now escalating in severe injury or worse. I'm not certain I'd involve myself today, unless I was certain I had help.
my youngest [great kid], in her first job seven years ago, was leading a group of other employees at a entertainment facility. one opened the back door, letting in a couple of others who started beating my daughter (think current videos today). Fortunately, she was able to escape this cowardly attack (and also, a least two were standing guard, not participating). It still hurt watching the security footage and the weeks of involvement to have the establishment and my family to prefer charges... only to have the individuals given probation.

I would agree with you, except for this one point...
I recall a book I read of Thomas Sowell's (one of our National Treasures) [wish I could remember which one it was - google is of no help currently and loves to scrub].
He stated after WWII, many thousands of black GI's, not having much to return to state-side, opted to stay in europe (particularly Germany IIRC), to help rebuild. Often gaining duel citizenship, the became absolutely model citizens, to the point, where they were some of the least likely to commit crimes.

Schmidt wasn't even murdered for his phone. They just wanted to intimidate and rob a white boy. Period. And they were willing to kill him if he didn't submit to them... and they did. He was targeted for being white. They didn't even want his phone... They threw it down the street before he was killed.
We are literally being targeted and hunted... for being white. That's what happens when you're raised to believe everything bad in your life and your community is because of white racism, and this belief is paroted by black public figures, it's in the TV and movies you watch and the music you listen to by performers you idolize. Programmed with hate and a victimhood mentality... so, any violent actions you take against white people are "justified." It's the same mentality of leftist commie libs and their violence toward conservatives/Republicans.
We are literally being targeted and hunted... for being white. That's what happens when you're raised to believe everything bad in your life and your community is because of white racism, and this belief is paroted by black public figures, it's in the TV and movies you watch and the music you listen to by performers you idolize. Programmed with hate and a victimhood mentality... so, any violent actions you take against white people are "justified." It's the same mentality of leftist commie libs and their violence toward conservatives/Republicans.

But it's our job to stand our ground; and to hold our leadership accountable for not calling out ALL public figures (black and white) along with the MSM who offer a sympathetic ear or louder mouthpiece -- who have emboldened and inspired this behavior.

This is one of my worst fears as a parent, especially for my daughter. I also know if my daughter is attacked, since I live in a blue area, nothing will happen to her attackers. It is a scary scenario to think about.
My son left his first high school job because his new team lead that was hired was a black guy who hated white people. He openly told the group this too in his first meeting. My son was the only white kid on the team, so it was obvious who it was pointed at. He called me on his first break and I told him just keep his head up and do not respond to anything the guy says. I told him he was going to try and goad him into doing something so he could make him a target. My son put up with it for two more shifts. I won't go into details but even his fellow coworkers told him to just leave. The guy was encouraging the coworkers to start crap with my kid and, since many knew him from school for years, they were not going to do it.
My kid learned a valuable lesson on that job.
