Gaetz deserves to be censured by colleagues.

Witness intimidation isn’t a good look

Cohen shouldn’t testify

EVERY single prediction you have made since 2016 regarding trump has been spectacularly wrong. You are a punch line around here.

Do you not think Cohen's lawyers have told him the exact same thing? Cohen knows his personal and professional career are going to be under a microscope. Stating the obvious isn't witness intimidation.

If I’m Cohen, I walk into the testimony tmoro morning and drop a box of documents and case of recordings on the table.....then turn around and tell the Republicans they are free to review whatever they choose.

Your statement has nothing to do with the testimony Cohen would offer or relevant questions from House members. Asking Cohen about his affairs goes directly to his credibility, especially since he's accusing someone of potential crimes. There's nothing at all analogous in your statement to Gaetz's.

Why?
I mean, the whole thing is a sham, but why is his personal life under a microscope?

Should it be?

The character of a "witness" is always in play.

I think this is bullshite, personally. I dislike the "I'm going to embarrass you / cast you your family" approach.

On the other hand. This dude is an incompetent a-hole. So, I'm not going to shed tears for Cohen.

He's the one accusing another person of serious misconduct and potential crimes. Whether or not he is credible is of paramount concern, so yes his personal affairs are relevant if they evidence instances of moral turpitude or misconduct.

To be fair, that is a terrible analogy. Any "lawyer" can preview his case / questions toward a witness.

As I understand it...the dude did not say "IF you dare to show up, I will ask this question." It sounds like he said "I look forward to you showing up so I can ask this question"

So much pressure will be taken off DOJ after tmoro.
Can’t wait to see the future witness statements.

VOR, you don’t even have an idea what a patriot is. You promote ideas and policy that are in direct opposition to its very meaning. Yet you have no clue you are doing it.

Sit down and shhhhh son.

haven’t you learned to not put deadlines on your predictions? You made us wait a month or so for 9/20/18. You are going to make yourself a punchline again....giving only 1 day for your prediction? Nobody has ever accused you of being the brightest bulb.

And patterns of lies and deception. While I agree with you that the personal affairs may impact his credibility, what does sending a tweet like this in advance of the hearing do to advance Gaetz's cause? Why not just wait to the hearing and drop the hammer?

All he did was set himself up for arguments that he committed witness obstruction, whether technically correct or not, and brought himself down to Cohen's level.

meh...I would not have watched this drivel otherwise. I MAY now just to see if it goes down like that. So, if he wanted a larger audience...he may get it

I don't think what Gaetz did was smart or even necessary, but the people on here claiming this is witness tampering or obstruction make Gaetz look like Einstein.
