Matt Damon claimed to that, because of Dick Cheney's health issues, it'd be crazy to vote Bush / Cheney, because of the " actuary tables " on Cheney surviving the 8 years as VP.

( Dick Cheney , regardless of what anyone thinks of him, is still alive. )

Matt Damon also pulled this same stunt with John McCain, back in 2008. McCain died in 2018, 2 years past his 'would be' 2nd term, had he won instead of Obama.

What I know about Matt Damon is that if he goes missing, do NOT send anyone after him. He'll end up costing more lives , material and money than he's worth.

Yet he's silent on Biden, for some odd reason. Wonder why.

Where Matt born and raised?

So he wouldn’t for Bush because of Cheney. But He’ll vote for demented lying racist with an actual foot in the the grave already.

I highly doubt the lie about guitar and Gospel songs . Having steel and Wind and Solar Farms…..there aren’t many Gospel singing Saints in that crowd. Damon needs to find a better lie.

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said. Seems respectful of field baws if anything.

And accurate.

Again, I was pointing out how shocked Damon was to learn these folks existed.
Whether or not there’s anything right or wrong about that reality is open to interpretation.

I didn't get anything to be offended about from his quotes.

What exactly offends you and is "snarky"? Him saying that it was "very different from where I grew up" is about the only thing you could twist into an insult.

Matt Damon's deafening silence during the Harvey Weinstein scandal was also eye-opening.

Everyone in that town knew about it. It was an open secret. I had heard rumors years before Harvey was exposed that he did the casting couch with Jennifer Lawrence, Blake Lively, and even Gwyneth Paltrow. She was Hollywood royalty from birth and even she didn’t get past Harvey. That’s how powerful and influential Harvey was. Great producer but one of the worst human beings in the country.

Brad Pitt kept his mouth shut about it in public too - though I read somewhere that back when he and Gwyneth were a thing, he confronted Weinstein at a party and threatened to kick his arse after hearing about the casting couch stuff.

So he just hangs around with them?

I doubt the individual that views them as inferior will just start hanging around with them in the future.

Damn. This just made me realize someone (if not many in Hollywood) are probably already working on a January 6th movie.

He is a typical Hollywood liberal. I spent several years in the oilfield in my youth. Never been more proud of working in an industry. The industry is American as it gets, just like coal. It made me a tougher, more resilient person and taught me to focus on the problem at hand.

Oh, my opinion is very obvious.
He was being an oblivious and patronizing twit.
Doesn’t mean everyone will agree.

Damon at least tries to understand the character. There is aline where he is told that he is acting like an American as though it is an insult. The character shoots back " That's because I am." He at least gets into the character. In promised land, he spent time with petroleum landmen and regular folks in PA. Getting into the character shows some sort of empathy if not sympathy

Maybe he should talk to the keystone pipeline union workers to get a “feel” of understanding the common man.

Bourdain was actually a very open minded person though. I don’t think he was all that confused and if there was one celebrity who didn’t judge you where you were from, it’s him.

Agree.
And Bourdain didn’t consider himself better than those he didn’t know/understand.
On the contrary, he found joy in learning the customs of others.
