I just watched the report on this on ABC's morning news show. They glossed over the not wanting to be politicized part. They never mentioned the kids specifically did not want to be used for a gun control prop.

The kids are correct. This is a mental health issue, not a gun control problem.

No doubt the "transitioning" kid had mental issues. But if the school had disciplined it, they risked losing federal funding, so just let it go....and we see the results.
Time to get rid of the idiotic policies keeping schools from disciplining minorities while putting the majority at risk.
The "dear colleague letter" has caused more fake abuse cases, murders, shootings, than any single policy in school history.
