I wonder if ISIS has claimed responsibility? If they haven't that's telling because they did in Vegas.

Is this Dave Ivey "uncle" real? Fox News reporter just said that the police are telling him that Kelley had no ties whatsoever with the town or the church (no relatives, etc.).

Now we have the uncle saying Kelley's wife went to the church?

I don't know, maybe the uncle meant "She is In The Church" In a general way?

That town wouldn't even have it's own police force. If you just wanted to pick out a perfect church for a shooting spree,it was almost perfect.
If it weren't for the armed neighbor,he might have gotten away.

Yeah. According to cops, he lived about an hour's drive away. I don't know about you, but I don't know a whole lot about small towns an hour from me. This would be something I would have to research.

So, it seems likely he planned to shoot up a church (for whatever reason) and wanted an isolated one.

There was a thing on Twitter earlier that said the shooter's mother in law lived in the town. If that is true then that might be the connection.

I have to say, I know most of the towns around me pretty well, for probably a 200 mile radius.

Even so, there is a highway that goes straight from his town to that one.He probably had passed through there before.

Any word on the "member of the community" who shot the church attacker and then joined Mr. Langerdorff in pursuit?

Someone might check the local police blotter to see if a random 'felon in possession' or 'violating terms of parole' arrest was booked today.

Since he wasn't at Sunday services across the street I'm wondering if it wasn't some day drinking redneck doing a whittle on the porch when the first shots fired.

Never underestimate my peoples.

Or it could have been an FBI stakeout.

His name will probably never be released. He would be a target for all kind of kooks.

Don't ever take anything a "former classmate" states as fact.

No one ever remembers someone fondly after an event like this.

I promise I won't.

Shooter has no connection as of 11:45 PM to the church other than the ANTIFA weekend.

I've read he was a neighbor of the church and heard the shots. He decided to grab his gun and go over there.

Lagendorrf (sp) happened to be driving by and saw the neighbor and the gunman exchanging fire. The neighbor got in Lagendorrf's car and they went after him.

Seems like the gunman was a pussy. As soon as the neighbor shot at him, he dropped his gun and ran to his car (after which the two citizens chased after him).

No way 400 people live there. I've driven through that area many times. There is NOTHING there but some a few (very few) industrial/farm buildings (that look more like trailers), all else is ranch land.

I went to a wedding in another tiny "non-town" (it was held at an old ranch) and drove up and down that intersection where the map says the church is and there was no fricking church. In fact, there is no nothing for miles around that area.

No gas stations! No schools! No homes! If you see homes when you pull it up on a map, they drew that in. The place is totally isolated. and I almost spit my coke out at "one of the best Texas communities".

Why? Because it has no gas stations, no stores, no school, no bank and not even it's own zip code? But suddenly this church props up in an area that I drove by 10 times in April 17 (cuz I was lost looking for the wedding place)????

quote:

on google earth many of the homes look abandoned, something weird happens when you try to look at the church. thanks for the info. its not at all the way it looked on the news.?

quote:

Did they all walk to church??
There are 10-15 cars there, at least, 10 are police cars.
About 50 attend services.
27 dead, 30 others wounded.?

quote:

And conveniently the shooter is of course dead, again...and he'll just be a picture...no funeral covered by the media, no family of course...just some figmant who had no life or relatives or friends.

And so the "Crisis actor" conspiracy theories begin.
