There’s nothing to keep the country together anymore. No shared values. No shared traditions. Morally bankrupt elites pushing hollow consumerism uber alles until there isn’t anything left. Where we’re headed is going to be ugly. We’re headed for a fall.

I did live in the 50s, S...and we left our shotguns/rifles in the rack across the rear window of our truck...and with the windows down and doors unlocked. There was zero thought of this stuff...because we all AGREED.

Bottom line. Diversity for diversity's sake...and tolerance of problematic Religion, Philosophy, Ideology and just plain out bad people who will not commit to civil societal responsibility and police their behavior accordingly.

And I can further bear witness that my Grandfathers, Uncles and extended Family Males of that era would not tolerate this crap for one week. Government be damned if they got in the way of cleaning out the 'trash'. And we know who/what the trash is; it's not rocket science.

And you are right re the social contract. Everybody will have to decide just who and what they support. Therein is the current Political division. I just hope and pray that when the good guys take to the streets with their guns...they don't get out of hand. Of all the things I fear/respect as an absolute challenge...that would be high on my list.
