It’s ok to resist arrest if you are a thug but resisting arrest because a liberal doesn’t like you and calls the popo on you is justified. This is not America

Well he shouldn't have picked it back up. How is it any different from a cop telling a person not to reach for the glove compartment?

It’s his home. He wasn’t suspected of or accused of committing any crime. I’m not saying he was smart. I’m just saying it’s sad as hell that someone in his family called out of concern (maybe for him and not others) and he gets killed in his own home. This is an issue. People have a right to and will resist giving up their guns if they aren’t given a chance to defend themselves against these accusations. He should’ve never answered the door. Learned that long ago, nothing good comes from police interactions. They are required occasionally but should be avoided if at all possible. Do these laws allow them to enter the home without him opening the door?

Thugs get killed for resisting arrest all the time. This guy is no different. Comply, don't die.

I like my gun. If some day the cops showed up at my house and said they had an order to take it away, and I had no clue what they were talking about, I'd comply instead of trying to make a point and risk getting killed. Not that hard.

Well if he complied he would still be alive. Then he could have used the legal process to get his guns back. If he lost he could just move if he wanted to own guns that badly.

If he lost, and he would have, I can promise you, it wouldn't matter where he moved to, he would never pass another BG check to buy a gun.

Now he could probably make a private purchase, but he has been found a mental risk in court. So what happens after that? Damn risky.

Correct, shooting them through the door before you open it is the wise move.

I see this is from November of 2018.

From another article in January, 2019.

It wasn’t clear why the “red flag” order was issued. A spokeswoman for the Maryland Judiciary denied a request from the Baltimore Sun to release protection order requests associated with the home, citing the law which states the orders are confidential unless a court rules otherwise.

Get in argument with relative, person reports you as crazy to a judge to get revenge. Judge doesn’t like guns anyway so signs the confiscation order without really thinking too much on it.

Not how it works. Evidence has to be provided showing the person is a threat. You can't just make a complaint. Even then, the orders are temporary and the respondent has a chance to appeal. It's not like you can never own guns again.

That's your fricking takeaway? Jesus.

Comply to unconstitutional behavior, big Brother, police state.

I'll come over and takeaway your property...you better comply...and give it to me. That's your philosophy. Otherwise you will win stupid prizes.

So give me your gun...under citizen's arrest.

Seriously, I am asking you to give me your property. Send it ebay style.

Give me your home too.

Don't resist and bad stuff won't happen.

Sound good to you? This is your philosophy.

While we're at it, send me all your personal property. And remember, don't point a gun at me...because then you lose, don't defend your home or your life and all your personal property...because, that's stupid according to you.

I'm sure you will agree. What's the difference between organized jacking and personal jacking? One just has more guns.

I support the concept that guns can be confiscated from someone who is clearly mentally ill and a threat. However, I disagree with this method wherein everything is done in secret and there is no transparency.

Judging by the votes, I can see that this rule is fine for some people but not for baws. Interesting.

This alone is indefensible. What the hell do you think the average law abiding citizen is going to think when someone is banging on his door at this time?

Sounds like they actually identified a guy who shouldn’t have been allowed to have a gun.
