About half of the energy produced in Montana is from renewable sources,
And now for proper context:
quote:
Coal-fired power plants provided the largest share of Montana's electricity generation in 2021, accounting for 43% of in-state electricity, followed by hydropower at 41%, wind power at 12%, natural gas at 2% and petroleum coke at nearly 2%.
Solar isn't even mentioned and hydropower is VASTLY different from other renewables. Gravity, unlike wind and solar, is pretty damn constant and dependable so as long as the water is flowing into the necessary reservoirs then hydropower is always predictable, reliable, and will meet its annualized nameplate capacity. Something solar and wind are amongst the worst at.

And try and build a big hydro dam today.
The leftist environazis will have a coronary.

You’re a fricking idiot.

If power utility companies were required to pay for excess power generation from using solar, or windmills, I would consider adding these to my home. Some do, but mine doesn't.

So you defend her ignorant statement?
Idiot!!! Lol.
The dumbasses who try to defend that whack job.

Is she or Biden dumber?
In general, that’s a tough call. Biden is definitely more on the Alzheimer’s/dementia spectrum, MTG might just be tarded.

She's way dumber. He's way more senile.

Why didn’t you answer my questions? You obviously have an unbelievable understanding of the national/regional power grid. I’d like to learn from you. Can you take a look at my questions again?

What is she wrong about?
Solar power is not capable of carrying a typical household load is the majority if the country. Add in EV these dipshits want to push and the grid is dead in a week.
Wind is not an acceptable replacement. It’s inefficient, can’t power shite and terrible for the environment. Not to mention there are plenty of nights in South Louisiana where the air is as still as a statue.
Take a lap, clown.

Montana has been shifting for a decade, and will continue to do so. We've more than doubled wind energy since 2012.

How many VARS is a typical ~50 MW wind turbine/generator able to produce? I would guess but much, but I don’t know. Assuming it is low, does that not concern you in an area that’s so widespread?

No shite. So do we go solar where the entire fricking region is pumping a/c’s, pools, fans, etc., for 8 months out of the year?

Or maybe the answer is a distributed bled of all gen units that maximizes the locations resources. Crazy idea I know.

No. I have solar that runs my entire house.
