Mario Lopez could be axed from Access Hollywood before his September hosting gig has even started, according to sources.
Lopez was reportedly forced to make his Wednesday apology for his June remarks on the Candace Owens Show that it was 'dangerous' for the parents of transgender children to support their offspring's transition.
The execs at NBC held an emergency meeting yesterday to discuss Mario’s future with the show because they do not see how they can just let this fly,'
'His apology really meant nothing at all,' the insider told RadarOnline. 'All it does is solidify that he was aware that his comments were transphobic and hurtful.'

He'd be better of having kept his mouth shut, in the first place. Now that the cat's out of the bag, he pussed out and "apologized."
Having to work with all of those lunatics on a daily basis, I could totally understand why he wouldn't say anything to begin with, but it's too late for that.

I would bet my life savings that NO ONE, not a single meeting attendee, said anything close to the following:
"is it possible, that Mr. Lopez' original statement was slightly reasonable, or at least, not that big of a deal?"

I was banned from facebook for saying some transgender person was mentally ill. About a week earlier some guy was repeatedly saying that people should start killing the wives and children of police officers. I reported him. Facebook sent me a message saying they had informed him his comments violated their standards. He continued posting. Call for the children of cops to be murdered and you get a warning. Say something about a transgender freak and you get banned.
