So, we listen to these kids on this occasion, but we don't generally listen to children on other serious issues, right?

They're not marching to DC because of that.

Yep. I think the biggest difference between adults and children is that children think the world will give a damn if they are loud enough and angry enough. Adults realize the opposite is true. The louder and angrier you get, the less the world gives a damn.

How sad, the least educated among them are the ones walking out of school...

Not wanting to be murdered before lunch by a gun-totting nutsack. What the frick are they thinking?

do you know the odds of this?

do you know the literal hundreds of other more dangerous options? why aren't they protesting for more regulations in those areas?

a rational argument looks at the most likely threat and addresses that

an irrational argument looks at one of the most rare threats and addresses that

when you do this based in emotion, then you're thinking emotionally and irrationally

when you do this in a group, you're part of a hive mind and are not thinking for yourself. your'e falling victim to psychological tricks of emotional manipulation, group think, group acceptance, and a slew of other individuality-destroying mechanisms of our minds

I did some stupid stuff when I was in high school too. God help us if a major political party looked to 17 year old BBONDS to set any sort of legislative agenda.

But you are pretty emotional and tend to stay away from rational thought, Toddy. So I can see how this appeals to you.

Where'd you get the idea that the kids were thinking for themselves? They're being led around by the nose. Apparently you don't know shite about parenting.

They are far more likely to be killed by an illegal alien. That's the cause they should be marching for. But, like you, they are fragile emotional children who are easily manipulated.
