Brother you have no idea about what I have done or what people like Norman Browning have done to help schools.

You're just running your mouth and acting like a Russian wannabe.

You think the only people who volunteer to work in schools live in BR or Zachary. You are FoC

What "Kool Aid" would that be? What "indoctrination" are you referring to?

Do you realize how much you're coming across as a pathetic loser with a massive inferiority/penis envy complex?

I know you don't bother yourself with details like who your school board rep is.

Wrong, but why should any child have to test high to get into a real school?

They shouldn't. that's why some people are actively trying to improve the schools. Not complain on an anonymous messageboard.

You elitist a believe because God gave you or yours a good mind, somehow you or yours deserve better than the guy down the street with kids who don't pass the test.

Where did I ever say that? When did I ever say some people don't deserve a good school?

Guess what you and yours do not and neither did mine.

I don't know what you were trying to say here.

And your behavior is proving me correct . You have to resort to name calling and chit about my wife because you are a loser.

You started with the name calling.

I never said anything about your wife. I asked a question to try and figure out where your irrational anger towards magnet schools and BRHS comes from.

It was a joke.

because you are a loser.

What was that about resorting to name calling?

Believe me I am not envious of you , your status in life or the fact your kids went yo a magnet school.

I could afford to send my children to any school in the city and I did.

I elected to take them out of gifted programs because they were being bussed too long and I believed in a quality education and neighborhood schools.

Btw, I believe in magnet school curricula but I believe each and every high school in the city should have that same curricula where the smarter kids could take the accelerated classes in their own neighborhoods and attend school with their neighbors. There would be college prep level courses as well as regular courses for those who chose yo go in that direction.

But that's just me.

Btw, I do not think less of you for fighting for your kids and what is best for them, you would be a poor father if you did not.

I just don't like your style.

bullshite.

Half your posts reek of envy. It goes along with your perpetual victim mentality.

Every person I've ever had to deal with who has your victim mentality turned out to eventually admit they knew they were a loser and a failure.

You can't run away from that by starting your own city or a new school district.

It's YOU, not the city nor the school system that is a failure.

People in SG work in one direction to improve their schools and you guys dismiss them as whiners and malcontents . On the other hand you guys do something for education and it's great. Only what you do and agree with matters .

Trying to improve schools. According to you this can only be achieved by more citizen involvement, because obviously Taylor and every school board member and principal and teacher are perfectly suited for their position. Why do you think the schools can be salvaged without meaningful change in leadership?
That's why st George schools would have the sort of night & day improvement Zachary and central saw. It's not a new label; it's a new district with a new leadership structure and teachers that have to interview for their job. The buildings would probably stay the same. Make sense?

And what I gather that double is getting at, is that BR High does a great job of educating their cherry picked kids. Most people just don't want to bank their kids' education on a lottery. There shouldn't have to be a lottery to get into the only uncrappy high school in a district. I guess the other schools just need a few parents to go to plays, though.

Wow and Indoor plumbing too? All there in a Baton Rouge????

ETA I hope they didn't overlay the wood over the tile, that leads to problems.

May want to rethink the whole Zachary comparison.

There's more wrong with that system than people realize. Just kept under wraps by the community.

I never said that. I said that the transition in Zachary was easy because the community was already involved.

SG has no community.

Again, missing the point.
