lord have mercy. This is why MAGA gets so much shite on here you conform to an idea or an ideal according to who is doing it. No, Trump is not a Nazi nor do I think he is a pedo or antisemitic. He is a serial philanderer which for some reason doesn't matter all the sudden when it did matter about the Democrat candidate.

I don't know any Trump supporters who'd hold him up as a moral example. He's held up as an example of a man who will fight (dirty if required) to implement policies that they agree with for a change. He is loved because he is willing to fight dirty and use the same tactics democrats have been using for decades. After a while, people get tired of being taken advantage of.

It's not that supporters "like" fighting dirty. Frankly it's sad that it's come down to that. But it's required nowadays.

Now, it might ultimately end in disaster. But it's a 100% certainty that Republicans continuing to take the high road will end in disaster. It's a political version of the mutually assured destruction theory. When one party understands and internalizes that the other party will fight fire with fire, there's a chance things will calm down a little.

Did he end the text with "This is MAGA country!"?

this is a pretty dumb hill to die on. If all Platner did was cheat on his wife, he'd probably beat Collins.

Too bad being a cheater is the least distasteful thing about him.

your explanation for the media's intense curiosity over Pete Hegseth's Christian tattoos compared to their relative disinterest over Platner's actual Nazi tattoo

All while the nation watched Jimmy Carters funeral in the National Cathedral, which had that exact same cross as Hegseth tiled into its floor lol.

Because you dont get to separate out the other shite Platner has done and try to call everyone else hypocrites.

Listen you’re clearly not very bright and have an obvious agenda. But find one post in this thread where someone has defended or justified Platner. I’ll wait; just one post.

Because you don't know the distinct differences between a Fascist and a Communist for one and how they conflict with each other. How is me copying and pasting Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei going to help you? You are low IQ.

why would you think this?

You think men can sense that I believe we live in an unjust society when they look at me and decide they should run away rather than just go on living their lives?

Therein lies the rub. Do I hold Trump to the same standard? No. I hold Trump to the standard of doing whatever he can to implement policy that I agree with. I didn't vote for a pope. I voted for a man to step into a shitshow and fight fire with fire.

It's DEMOCRATS who hold Trump to that standard. And now it's YOU (or many democrats) who refuses to hold your own candidate to the same standard.

Do you think its possible that these wacko Libs feel the same way about their candidates? Why is it ok for you to feel that way but not Liberal Democrats?

It's perfectly okay for democrats to feel the same way. But not those who claimed Trump was unacceptable for the same reason. That's called hypocrisy. Then again, maybe it isn't hypocrisy because I never once thought those people sincerely believed in any such standard for anyone.

Personally, I don't care one bit about who Platner texted. I do care that he's anti American though.

I've said before that Trump was right when he said he could shoot a man on fifth ave and still get elected. I'd still vote for him if the other option was G Newsome, AOC, K Harris, etc. And I'm okay with democrats feeling the same way with wanting literally anyone but Trump. But they should at least be honest about their reasoning behind those thoughts.

His base revels in it.

Which is fine, they just look silly when they complain about other politicians doing things that Trump does.

I agree with you. Hell, I revel in it, in some ways. I'm thrilled to finally have someone who represents me fighting for things I agree with.

That doesn't mean that I am glad it's all come down to this WWE style politics, though.

And the complaining only looks silly to leftists. Leftists lack the ability to see that Trump is a reaction. They see him as firing the first shot. Because they're so used to getting their way by any means possible, they've lost focus on what's appropriate and inappropriate political strategy. I'm sure some realize what's happening, they just don't care. Winning is more important. And it's gotten addictive to them over the last few decades. They don't realize that Trump is doing exactly what they've been doing because in most cases the media has conditioned them.

Hell, Trumps entire presidency is a reaction to Obama. Without a President Obama, there could never have been a President Trump.

Interesting. What does that translate to? Specifically that second term after "National", and that last phrase there....."Arbeiterpartei"?

I think it might be rather relevant to the discussion at hand here.
