Maher/Noir: A Respectful Discussion of Gun Rights
Posted on 3/20/19 at 10:35 am

YouTube
It addresses only the factual arguments, as compared to the Constitutional arguments, but it shows two intelligent and well-spoken men with opposite views of the issue, discussing it without rancor and in reasonable terms. From the tone, it would not surprise me if these two guys grabbed a beer after the show.
Definitely worth five minutes of anyone's time, regardless of where one might fall in the "gun rights" landscape.

That was terrific. Thank you for posting it.
To be honest, that is EXACLY how my IRL conversations go (not as well done...but, that type of respectful interaction). It is why i intentionally seek out friendships and conversations with those with whom I disagree. I find it much more nourishing to have that type of diversity.
ETA: why would anyone downvote this OP? It is a very good conversation and it is great that he linked it on here.

Wow. Beer Summit. This is peak humanity. So cool.

I just hope that some of our more ... zealous ... members will take a few minutes and see how this debate COULD be handled.

I knew it would be downvoted 10:1 before I ever hit the "Submit" button.

If that was a white guy Maher was talking to it would be completely different

Probably just a reflex reaction to hank

What in the ever loving frick is this shite BHP? The only fricking diversity I want is when me and baw #1 are discussing H&K vs. Glock or the best defense ammo.

5 minutes my arse; that was almost 12 fricking minutes long......and I enjoyed all of it but the part where Maher was talking
Good stuff.....first time listening to Colion Noir but won't be the last

Awesome interview! Both handled themselves well. It wasn't really a debate per se, but Noir did a great job representing gun advocates.

That was a great example of a discussion where both sides were respectful and did a good job of explaining their stances. I would have liked to see that go for a full 30 minutes.

I believe it's due to Hanks failed attempt to become the cherished hero of the board.
He's also admitted to purposeful trolling. He called it devils advocate another time. He's not the most modest person among us and that turns people off.

Now I want to watch the longer one. Thx.
I agree with you on Noir. I plan to find more of his stuff to watch as well.

I have been watching Noir's stuff for a few years. I really respect his opinion on many things, and really like his firearm videos he puts out.

Tucker had Noir on the other night. He is very well spoken and a good advocate for the NRA.
That clip was worth the watch.

Debate? Why there's no debate going on, at all.
They want to eventually ban private ownership of firearms and we're telling them they'll never do it.
They will do anything within their power to subvert the right to keep and bear arms- even if that means in increments small enough to seem innocuous, at the time.
Eyes open.
