Well then hes an idiot.

Maybe, but the point was Trump was never going to choose him for VP in a million years and everyone including Trump and Desantis knew that.

Trump knew he had to run from social issues and be very Centrist, and he was right. He could not pick the face of hardcore Conservatism as his VP...and he was right. And he wasn't going to ever pick someone that his Chief Advisor hated that much.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out and it didn't

Trump made all the right moves.

Vance was a solid choice, if Trump was smart he would allow Vance to be the mouthpiece of the administration.

Don't act like 4cubbies, Roger. Not because you are better than that but because it's pathetic.

Trump says he can grow the economy enough to stave off inflation, he's lying to you.

Inflation has slowed down already so this is probably going to be easier than you think.

pad the budget with cash to make his admin look good.

Then explain to me why he is putting Elon and Ron Paul in positions to cut bureaucratic waste and overreach? If he only wanted to pad the budget then why would he put a guy saying he will slash $2 trillion in waste in power?

Depends on what happens the next few years, wouldn’t you say?

Obviously, but the past 3 elections have been straight up referendums on the party in power.

That + our impending economic issues make a 2028 GOP victory difficult to project. Maybe if we get into a war that's popular with the electorate we could have a 2024-like "war time President" moniker for Vance to continue the efforts.

Good for a campaign slogan but their chances of actually doing this are low.

DOGE is a major concern Trump learned nothing in his first admin and is going to revert back to early admin Trump that fricked up basically every admin/executive move.

It will be Vance v Shapiro.

If Trump is still popular in 4 years Vance will win.

I have high hopes for Vance, if he can avoid the populist trap.

If you were smart you’d shut your mouthpiece. Btw you didn’t vote for Trump so you should probably just shut the frick up in general, Rog

I don’t disagree necessarily, but I also don’t think it’s set in stone. I’ve been worried the economy will crash any time now for 2 years. Maybe it will, but if it doesn’t and actually gets significantly better somehow, he’s setting up a similar Reagan referendum.

What makes this so much easier for him is the democrats have pushed and implemented sooo many outright terrible policies that are so easy to just go in and forcefully shut down. There’s a million wins that aren’t complicated at all.
